The Zaccaria versions of the Cinematronics XY games have the DAC's on the PCB's. The PCB should output a standard analogue XY signal that drives the Hantarex. I was thinking of doing an adaptor to run the Zac PCB in an Asteroids cab - it should be possible.

In theory, I could reuse one of my converted Quasar cabs to "make up" a Space Pirate/Fortress using the Hantarex. The up side is that the Hanty is original for the game, the downside I'd need to make up a power supply and wiring loom (don't know whats needed for that yet). On the other hand, the Asteroids I have isn't worth restoring and will end up parted out anyway, so I could transplant the entire internals with the G05, PSU, AR, loom etc and then only need an adaptor to run the SP/SF PCB in it (and I could still run Asteroids in it). It's also a more widely understood platform with readily available spare parts. Tough call really.

Paul.

I unwrapped it and took a few pictures. The monitor is mint, literally brand spanking new looking (well it is brand spanking new!) This photo doesn't do it justice, it's MINT.

And of the back. Again the photo does not do it justice at all. It is spotless. I put it back in the box unwrapped - but before transport i'll put it back in the wrapping and then back in the box.

Every nut and bolt is shiny and new, the black monitor frame is literally like it just came back from powder coating. The tube is just new looking.

Awesome.

That-       looks horny !

Ok name your price sir.

One advice: although that box looks totally sweet it doesn't seem up to still protecting that delicate thing inside of it....I guess over the years these boxes grow weaker because the cardboard is loosing its strength. Some moisture will be absorbed by the cardboard, no matter how dry you keep it....besides, that original box is part of the whole thing, isn't it ;)

I would definitly put the entire thing in a new box if it will need to be shipped. In fact, I wouldn't trust any transport company with a unique and delicate item like that.....it's better if someone picks it up....
If I am not going to be the buyer I could still at least bring it back over the channel if someone on mainland Europe wants it.

Don´t you think you will kick yourself in the arse for selling it, if one of your other vectors suddenly dies??

Nah, BW vectors can always be fixed......unless the HVT dies but that seems to (about) never happen...

(Now you hush Mr.Muerto, that Baby would look sweet in my Lunar Lander ;););) )
