WOW Bruno

You really are getting serious now

That is going to be HUGE. I didn't even know you had already extended.

I have had to come to terms with the fact I cannot get any more machines and I have to sell some to fit all mine in

Already have just under 30m2 in the seperate arcade and the original extension

I've just worked out all the space in the house I have taken up and it's another 33m2 so I have over 60m2 worth of machines and it's full to the max :o

New day of work ... same stage : "the concrete slabs" ... attempt 2  8)

What a mess around the house :

Hey, still the same truck with "MAIDEN" plate... but no "IRON" around?  ::)  ;D

Same "Jurassic Crane"

...the only way to pass the slabs over the current V1+V1 ...

...and this time.. Yeah! The size is correct  ;)

 ::)  :arrow:

Now all the slabs from the truck #1 are used, let's get the ones from the truck #2. See how long the crane is

...and this is it  8)

Of course, all of this happened during the day, I wasn't there. Here's the only picture I got after my work  :P

Stay Tuned  ;)

Great thread to follow! Droooooling already ...

BTW I guess this will end up as being the biggest personal arcade place in the world? Bigger then Sonic's?

I don't know if mine's bigger, but Bruno has got the games!!  ;D   (my game room is more video game collectibles than actual arcade cabinets)

I'm curious about this type of foundation,  How come you can't just pour concrete?  Like I was wondering before, is this type of foundation due to where you live, the climate etc...  especially curious about those pipes coming out of the foundation??

Yes, it due to the climate here. In addition the land behind the existing game rooms is on a slope, which complicates the construction.
Regarding the pipes, I'll ask all the details to the contractor  ;)

Precisely, because of the bad waiter here (+ 1 day off for all the country)... not a lot of progress... here's the current status :

Hey, what's this?

Let's put some "Barry aka Sonic1992" spirit in the 'soul' of this new room to come  ;)

Nice sight, now you get a good imagination of how big it is going to be. HUGE!!

I'm always a bit interested in the way of construction, did you put insulation in or under the rough floor? Or will it come on top of this rough floor?

Hi,
The soil here isn't sufficiently stable to just pour concrete on it. And it must cope with the load caused by those cabinets....
The pipes are needed to evacuate water vapor and avoid excess humidity going up from below.

I just hope Nuno will not underestimate the power of "modern" insulation

Indeed. Most of us only dream of such place.
My wife would kill me when I got such plans. :-) :-)
