Space Ace arcade skipped footage or Test Model

When she was younger my fiance went  to the arcade at one of the malls. She was checking out Space Ace. Someone was playing the level with the doppelganger before Dexter fought him there was a whole  conversation with Dex and The evil Dex before the fight begun.  This was when it first came out. I don't know if it's a Test version or was it a scene they couldn't restore cause it was so old and not too important. I happened to remember this scene as well.

...as far as I know, all the Space Ace LD footage has been used in the game, except minor scenes : landing of the STARPAC spaceship ...
