Well....you guys may remember that the back door of the Joust landed on my big toe while lifting it on Ruud's trailer. To make it worse, there was a metal strip that keeps the backdoor in on the bottom part....

You've seen the first "blue Smurf" pic...anyone care to see the others ?  ;D ;D THis is for nasty pics lovers only !!!

I went to the doctor on monday after Eurocade. He asked if I had a lot of pain or "knocking" feeling in it. I didn't have either so he suggested to let it as it was (keep the toe nail) because the nail would cover the wound and so help prevent an infection.

The toe started to infect DESPITE keeping the nail on it (I think the doctor made a mistake, he should have made a tiny hole in the nail...)

On monday I did a LOT of walking at work and my toe started to hurt more and more. So back to the doctor last tuesday and I got the advice to soak the toe in hot soda water 4x a day and I got some antibiotics creme to apply 3x a day.

The nail had already become very weird colored and was getting loose more and more. Yesterday it came off (with a little help...)

Not a pretty sight but it could be worse I guess. I hope I can now start wearing some shoes again and resume work next monday...

This is sick ... I like it  ;D I mean not the toe but the idea to post it ... It's still a relict of Eurocade.

hmmmm, not a shocker yet, a zip file, ok lets save that, unpack it, and ofcourse i go straight for the moneyshot by opening picture #4....

Hey ! There is my lunch again! ;D that was just on its way to my intestines  ;D

now seriously, it looks painfull, but i expected a worse sight after what you explaned to me by telephone last week..

Like i PM-ed you before, i hope the toe will not mutate  ;D

Doesn't hurt much anymore now...It's just weird to have a "soft" spot there. It did hurt before when it was infected (more) though...

That is no horror picture, your toe looks clean and almost healed. Have fun watching a new toenail grow in there.

But next time listen to me, you should have put a heated pin through your nail right away. Anyway, worst part is over for you, my friend, you can walk in a normal way again.  :)

Yep, and I agree....I told the doc that I felt he should have done it on that Monday at least, but next time I'll do it myself. I'm very sure this wouldn't have happened if I had done like you said....

Another lesson learned.

Once I experienced pretty much the same with my big toe. The doctor gave me some needles from syringes, which I could use to drill through the nail. It was great to take some pressure of the nail.

OMG! The blood and stuff oozing out of his finger......had to cross my legs watching that with my fist between my teeth!
