OK well, apart from installing 1 555 lamp in the coin door and installing the little sync board I decided to call this project


FINISHED


This was the poor sad Q*bert shell as I received it as an AMAZING gift in the year 2010 during Eurocade:



And after some years waiting, collecting parts and finally starting the restoration process here it is. I'm happy. I'm proud. I think this is probably one of my better restorations to date :) Love it !!

I have to thank a lot of great people on this forum who have somehow contributed to this project!

- Capt.Kirk....how can I ever thank you enough for giving me the shell  !!!  :spaceace: :spaceace: :spaceace:
- DarthNuno: for the awesome control panel deal !!!  :spaceace:

And one last total shot.....love it, love the game, love the sounds and I loved doing the project. Learned a lot from it and did it in a pretty short time of 7 months ! :)

Very, very nice.  :spaceace:

I do like the look of the matt black vinyl on the frontpanel, I want to try it also for some of my games, although I have formica black role in storage. The vinyl seems to do the job very well though.
