Azur Park Gassin/St. Tropez
« on: August 24, 2011, 12:40:30 AM »
After 2006 we are the second time on holiday in saint tropez in 05/2011 for two weeks. we love this nicest little town on earth and our spirit of louis de funes and brigitte bardot in her. :-*
WE CAME BACK IN 2013, for sure!!!

ok, back to topic:
directly in gassin on the route to saint tropez (2 km away) we found a amusement park, called "azur park". a nice surprice for us was a little arcade hall in it. Unfortunately no classic games, but we have fun yet. ;)

Lets speaking with pics:

entrance

right side with afterburner climax, star wars racer and silent hill.

silent hill is absolutely not my thing, too hard. :o

center view

and the rear row

moi... on afterburner climax, fully focused

and my son... but he has no credit... ;D

hey mister, that´s my ball... ;D

we had fun, especially with the basketball machines in the background.

RANDOM PICS from Azur Park:

Go Kart St. Tropez

my son with the gendarme from st. tropez. but at this point he don´t know that he are to small for this cars.
which reminded me of a scene from my favorite movie "BIG". :-*

my son, a good car driver...

and BYE BYE... we see us in 2013...

the monster in the middle...? I do not remember exactly what the name of it, but it was a simulator and it was OUT OF ORDER. :'(
but a really big! nice monster!!!

the afterburner had a realistic gameplay, but I can not compare it with the original, because I've played the original never...
After gameplay i was a little bit dizzy, the sit moves heavy to the left and right, up and down.  :P

Summary:
this new generation of arcade games it's not been my thing, i really love the classics. but it was nice to found a public arcade hall, and we had a lot of fun... :spaceace:

Hi, thanks for the nice pics!
I was in Portugal in the Algarve for one week, but I did not find any Arcade over there. All I found were Snack Bars and Shops selling crap to tourists.

and how's the new afterburner playing?

There is one here in Saarbrücken. If you are around here for some reason (maybe visiting laschek :)) I can tell you where it is and you can test it yourself.
`Contrariwise,' continued Tweedledee, `if it was so, it might be; and if it were so, it would be; but as it isn't, it ain't. That's logic.'

Hey, I know that place! Between the big "roundabout" and the road down to St Trop. You must have had fun. St Trop has an air of great times, as if you could still feel what it was like in the 60s, 70s an 80s...
