Hardcore Q*bert restoration, an inspiration for us all....
« on: August 02, 2011, 11:51:46 PM »
I generally don't cross-link but this is an exception. I've been following this Q*bert restoration thread on KLOV forum VERY closely, because-as you guys know- Q*bert is my grail.
And this thread gives me hope....that if I ever find one in no-matter what condition....it IS possible to make a very good looking machine out of it....

Enjoy:

I know that Q-bert is the same cabinet as Mad Planets..

If you can get Ully crazy enough to scan his cab and measure and some detail pics here and there, i can build you the shell  ;)

That is EXTREMELY nice of you to offer Etienne, but you know me eh....If the thing don't smell like 30 years old...it will always be a repro for me. Although I totally admire repro's (ESP. Scr33n's !) I just want my games to have the original shell. I don't know why, I'm probably just crazy.

Oh well, who knows what will happen in the future, crazier things have happened ! Like finding a Zaccaria cockpit...or a SW cockpi f.i. ;)

I took an extra day off today....still have to come to my positives (not just from Eurocade, had a busy week after it) so I hope to get my grail outside of the row.Maybe if weather improves even outside. And I'll take some good pics !
