Found a robot
« on: October 23, 2010, 08:30:11 PM »
Piet Hein Eek, Dutch famous scrapwood-designer, opened a gigantic workshop/mall at the Dutch Design Week this week. Next to his own work, he displays and sells all stuff he likes to have in his shop. Within a room with weird stuff, I ran into this robot:

Anybody know what game is in this funky cabinet?

Maybe is some prototipe?

It would have had great success if massively produced!

WOW! I remember desperately wanting this cab 10-15 years ago. I still wish it could be mine!

SEGA produced three different such cabinets, and the robot is by far the coolest.

This is the first time I've seen a picture "in the wild".

Cool, nice flyer find. I think the real one looks even cooler. The thick robot arms for example. What game ran on it?

What game ran on it?

The flyer says:
All of SEGA's current games will be available in these unique cabinets under limited production quantities.

Do you know if the cabinet is still there? Is it for sale?
