You did use a 31khz crt right? Can you detail more how you installed it? I think i tried to decase the same model for a project before, and ended up messing something up because it was hard to take out the tube and attached board from the shell

I had the same problem than you. Under the case, that specific monitor was the most frightening one I've ever seen : ton of boards, sub-boards...and yeah, mainly all use the case as their fixation. So this one would be too hard to integration without the case. I eventually installed it with its case. I've used angle metal brackets to fix it. There's a lot of space in these Nintendo cabinet  ;)

As you can see I've used numerous strong angle metal brackets (some are hidden on that pictures) to fix the monitor, but also a piece of wood on top to maintain it :
