Wahooo, and another one is moving up the list to "attending", and it is the man without whom there probably wouldn't be a Eurocade at all:

Mr. Darth "Bruno" Nuno himself !!!!   :spaceace:

...rumor has it he'll bring a mystery cab !   :spaceace: :spaceace:

This all already turned out WAY behind my dreams/what I expected :)

I'm a happy man for now, and even happier if the day turns out to be a success, but I have little doubt about that :)

About the tents: my yard is 7m. x 8m.

My own tent is 6x3m. So that will not cover the entire yard by far.

However, friend of mine has a little company that rents out party stuff and I can rent a tent of 8x4m. from him for 40 Euro for the entire weekend (thursday night till sunday) (and he will help set-up and tear-down for that too).

Now, by using both tents we can cover (almost) the entire yard. (the 4m and 3m. next to each other, we can shorten the length of the 8m. tent.)

I'm sure the "donations piggy bank" will cover the costs of the tent ;)

P.S.: Anyone volunteering to build a creative piggy bank in arcade style ??  ;D ;D

I'll empty and then cut a slot in my old C64, I'm sure you will enjoy breaking it at the end the party to retrieve the money.  ;)

Just talked with the Hotel. It's pretty insane, they gave me a price of 89 Euro per night, but if you book on their site it's only 79. Yeah, they call it "Last Minute" but I can book "Last Minute" now for September !?!?!?

Even worse, if you select two nights, the price is 57.50 per room per night so WTF ?

I said I already have 8 rooms now, it may become more around 10 or so...and some for two nights, I need a real price madam.....or else the people might be better of booking through the website themselves !

Of course she had to discuss with her boss...and will ring back...

OK GUYS....PLEASE NOTE EVERYBODY THAT NEEDS A ROOM AT THE VAN DER VALK HOTEL !!!

I just got off the phone with the guy from the Hotel. He said that it was OK, you can have the rooms for 79 per night, then I said, but hey I want at least 8 rooms, some for 2 nights, and I went up and down, left and right but I could NOT get a lower price than 79 Euro's per night !!!  :o :o :o
I told him about the 2 nights price and he said "on what website did you get that ?" and I said well, YOUR own website...

He advised me to take that deal ASAP because it was very cheap and he couldn't match the price, something about contracts.

>>>>>> So sorry guys, but it is best that you book yourselves  ASAP !!!! <<<<<<

Use this site: http://en.valk.com/pages/?ID=3393&propertyCode=RID&i=11

And do take the breakfast, it's not less expensive if you don't take it ;)

As preference, enter that you want to be away from the elevators, because I read in some reviews that the rooms directly next to the elevators are a bit noisy...

So, the bottom line is that you should get a price of €79 per room if you take 1 night, and a price of €115 for 2 nights (that's €57,50 per room per night).

In all honesty, these really are very fair prices, the hotel is very nice and the rooms are great. All very modern and I'm sure you will sleep well there.

If you want some extra luxury you can go for the executive rooms, which include a large whirpool-bath (amongst much more), good for couples  ;D ;D

Please note that the prices I mentioned are for the (standard) Atrium rooms.

p.s. please note that the price is excluding tourist tax, but that can't be much in our town, we're not really touristic around here ! :D

Must be another Windows/ Internet Exploder problem.
 ;D ;D ;D ;D

Seriously:
Did you type the date or select it from the calendar ?

I just tried again and it worked fine...

Don't type the date, simply select it from the calendar (click on the little calendar symbol on the right of that box).
