What does the EDST stand for??

Volts = 240 and Amps = 2.5A - I am in Australia :)

I'd definitely want the US version since all the parts for this build were source from there..

i dont have a clue, thats what was on Level42's sticker ,

I will adjust the data, and youre good to go.

Etienne, I was thinking, maybe it's better that you will have the typewriter at your place (for the project) ?
I mean you'll have all the data for the several orders and will save time/travel/hassle.
Let me know.

I'll type some stuff and scan today.

I've wondered about the EDST too.
E may stand for Eire (Ireland) ? ST for STar Wars ?

that is a possibility ofcourse,

Or, i finish it up first, then print it, and you come over for a cup of coffee and bring the machine
we can type the data in there and i can start shipping

after all you are the person with the experience in the spacing and placement  ;D

Am I ? No problem would be nice to come over and play your machines too :) For the spacing job, would it be possible to print a sheet that is "equal" to the final silver printed stickers sheet but than on regular paper ? That way we can do some good practicing....

Sure, i can print that "test" sheet on normal paper.

i think we need to create "reference" stickers on the typewriter, since im not sure yet how the stickers will be cut in the end

i mean it could be that its cut on the cutlines but only through the etiket, and not the protective layer, or totally through all,

in the second case w will have alot of stickers, in the first case, the sheets stays intact, and i need to cut it afterwards with a knive, or scissors.

all depending on the tests we are going to do at the printer.

anyway , its always good to practice !
so if we just position the testpaper, and create reference points (left and right), i think thats the way to go

does this typewriter has an electric "Enter" or is it a manual ?

either way, after inserting the sticker its just counting the enters and it will be the same height (+-)

all this stories remembers me typing the labels for video casettes in the past  :)

Okay guys,

I want to start planning to take this into production.

I want to create a deadline for orders and wrap things up.

My idea is to finish the preparations this month, and take it to the printer in July.

Please check this post if your order is correct and let me know if there are any errors.

if you dont have made your order, you still have time to do so, i will stop accepting orders after 30 Juni 2011.

@Ully, the only thing to wrap up vectorwise is the #8 sticker, so if you got time, please give me the info needed, then i can finish this project.

Thanks everyone for joining in and made this possible !

i was at the storage the other day to get a new picture, but i had forgotten to bring a flashlight with me. impossible to get a straight on picture without a proper lightsource - will give it another try at the weekend!
all i need is ... PONG - and a select few others: TOUCH ME, DRAGON'S LAIR, JOUST, ROBOTRON, MR DO, SAN FRANCISCO RUSH THE ROCK!!!

Erika typewriter test:

Please ignore that the top line is straight and the rest skewed, I re-inserted the sheet again after the first line (obviously not very tight).

Also ignore the quality of the ink on the page....the ribbon cartridge is probably about as old as the machine...

The top lines are done in 10 the bottom in 12. (spacing between the letters)

This is comming to a reality folks!

The typewriter is not exactly the font, but its reliable, the IBM was not in this case.

Anyway, Big thanks to Gyruss  :spaceace:

He has picked up the material from the supplier. (he lives closer to them than me  :P)
another step closer to production !

I'll try to pick the stuff up at Gyruss' next week. I will work in Almere tuesday and wednesday and maybe thursday....however going in and out of Hilversum is sometimes a nightmare....depends on the time I will be in the area. Gyruss if you could keep them at your work that probably is easiest...
