I checked Bruno's Defender topic here and I think the monitor and the chassis are original, just they hacked a second rounded neckboard between the original and the tube.
Edit:I double checked it and I'm not sure about the tube, it could be a replacement.
André, this is the best result I can get after adjusting sync:

And the pics from the tube (not the neon) ;D

O-my-god......I've seen some hacks, but this beats about everything !!!

That you even have the guts to power that up !!!
The problem is 100% a sync problem, but ......holy macerony are you serious you want to keep it running like this ?

I kept a nice distance from the cab during powering it up. ;D
I really don't want to keep it like this, but I guess it's a "bit" much for my skills to repair. :-\

I checked all the visible parts, but there was not any sign of the type or the manufacturer.
I will take a better look tomorrow. ;)

Re: Dodgem vs. The Invaders - I've managed to find pics of both boards and the base CPU board looks identical except for a slightly different EPROM configuration (that's likely a link option). The sound daughter board is different, though. My guess is that Dodgem would run on The Invaders with the wrong sounds...

PCB pics added here:

Thanks for the info Paul. ;)
As you advised, I asked Andy Welburn about this and he told me the same.
I guess I will have to find an original pcb for this beauty. :-\

Dont forget to discharge...

Why ? There is no need to discharge the CRT if you are getting out the monitor COMPLETE by handling it by the FRAME.

The ONLY time you will have to discharge is when you are going to separate the CRT from the chassis. All the other stories are BUZZ...and it's starting to annoy me a bit.

(OK, if, while removing a complete monitor you plan to stick your finger (or any other delicate part of your body) under the anode cup, then yes, it would be better to first discharge).

He is writing that he will remove IT tomorrow

That was a response on the message that Ully posted, wich is clearly talking about a Chassis, and not the complete monitor, so i assumed he is going to take out the chassis tomorrow, and in that case he will remove the anode cup, so an extra security warning is not too bad if you ask me...

just my 2 cents..

Nice discussion, lol! ;D ;D ;D
As it is a big hack, I discharged it, just to be sure. ;)
I removed the whole thing and found the tag, you were right André, it's corrected with hand writeing

And the original tag from 1981

Some more pics from the chassis and from the neckboard

After a bit of cleaning I found these, the left on is from Poland ;D
