A couple of months ago, I had the chance to visit the Japanese Arcade Museum, mentioned in the Galaxian Theater topic.
The owners of the museum were so kind to open the place specially for me and my girlfriend. So thanks again for the warm welcome!
The museum was kinda located in the middle of nowhere, but Ikke and Tom provided us with some detailed directions. So after a 2/3 hour trip we arrived at the museum:
take a look at the first 2 games we spotted right at the entrance, so beautiful!
and in great condition, I love the Galaxian, what a beautiful cabinet, someday i will own one
puckman is also looking very clean
again, great site art and great overall condition.
of course there were other great (namco) games
too bad some of them weren't working, love the sign though
This one seems to have a nintendo Control panel
Again, great side art.
a namco breakout
a non working pole position 2
Me playing space harrier, very cool cabinet and great game
girlfriend likes the game also
a sega time traveler, i like the effects but hate the gameplay
starblade! what a great game, a must have for sure
cobra commander? don't know the name of this one anymore
a train simulator, only in Japan!
panic park, fun game with strange controls
another weird game, a very nice man used it the half of the day to work out
Steel gunner 2, a nice shooter
2 classic racers, got my ass whooped by some Japanese girl
a sort of dancing game, don't like this one
the building also has great site art
they also have a few candy cab's
darius, non working but still a must have
flight combat
the museum also owns a lot of cocktails
a lcd monitor is getting installed
After all those great games it's time for the main event
i bet bruno will commit a murder for this sign
let's take a look inside
they also have a few spare laser disc players
the pcb's
ceiling
some signs
this is what i call a control panel
So let's start this wonderful machine and play some games
at first we will play the game on easy
let's see if everything works
and here we go
After some time Ike and Tom were so kind to switch the boards so we could play the other mission
although the graphics from this original version aren't that great i still like it more then the other one.
What a great game! I really would like to play it again at bruno's place sometime.
So this was our visit to the museum. We had a splendid time. so thanks again Ike, Tom and everybody else!
