PART 4 - NIGHTCAPafter loading in the rampage at pascal's place, the last part of our journey begins. as if we wouldn't already be exhausted enough, the weather decides to take a turn for the worse!
for the largest part of the remaining four hours on the road, the view through the front window is like this
when the sky finally clears up about half an hour from
HOME, we take one last break on a parking place to check our "luggage" one more time
with her mobile phone, charlotte takes the following picture of me ...
.. taking the following picture
which i like a lot!
great colors!
man, it's beautiful in the "lovely valley of the tauber" where we live
last exit: lauda-königshofen
because we don't have a lot of time for unloading the games (we have to return the transporter), this shed next to my storage will have to do for a couple of days!
right on time, patrik (who owns the shed) arrives back from his daughter's baptism to help us get the games out of the van. what a great way to end a day for him
we'll just put them over there on the ground
here's the one which cost us a lot of time (and energy)
and out it goes
toobin will probably be picked up by the austrian collector over the course of the next few days
domino
woman we've got to be careful with this one because of the damage to the cab!
four down, two more to go!
based on the late scatman john:
i'm a sweatmanpac-land enters the stage
putting it down slowly!
one more game left: moon patrol! because this is my favourite game and the cabinet is in such a nice condition, it gets some extra padding
careful with this one
the eagle has landed!!!
no commentone last step
and here they are, 5 (+1) new games have just arrived from england
it was one hell of a trip, but well worth it. i'd only do it again though under the following conditions: for a pong, for a tapper or another load of games
after returning the transporter to its original location, the final results are in
one continent, five countries, 1889 kilometers, 36 hours 26 minutes on the road - this roadtrip is OFFICIALLY OVER!
