Soapstone fireplaces arround europe
« on: August 16, 2012, 03:23:07 PM »
Hello all,

I'm investigating to change my house fuel burning heater for a cheaper solution (last full tank: 2400e -_-).

I heard about tulikivi fire places. which are soap stones heat accumulating fireplaces (i already have a fireplace). but a tulikivi (which is just a brand) can cost more than 10.000 euros. I wonder if you don't go for the brand, and if you shop in a country where it's more commonly used  like north europe (muerto ? :D) or east europe like austria maybe it could be cheaper . belgium is not known to be cheap. i'd not mind doing the RT :D

thanks in advance , if you have any infos about

Curious: How long does a 2400 euro tank heat your home ? Also: is your house well isolated ? That is often the best investment to lower heating costs.

it's my yearly consumption. The house is not old 2004. Isolation can be better thought (roof isolation is only 8 cm height). and roof isolation is planned for next year ^^
