When will Nintendo & Sony "catch up"
« on: October 20, 2011, 05:35:25 PM »
What I mean is, when will they stop using those stupid game carts?   ???

Making portable game systems with DLC & online game "app" stores is the way to go!   Everyone is tired of carrying stupid game carts!   There is no excuse with Flash Storage becoming so cheap now.

But stupid Sony keeps their status quoe...  Proprietary Crap.    The PSP was cool, but seriously.....?   a mini disc drive?   Fragile & will break for sure!  Now their releasing another portable soon, and you guessed it... more cartridges.

Same with Nintedo..  Instead of going with the flavor of the month "3D"   ... They could've EASILY  made a Nintendo "app" store and you could download your new games!  and and and   have all your games with you at all times!   duuuuuuuuuuhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!  ::)

Why they are fighting this I will never understand.   if the iPhone can have Dragon's Lair....  they should be able to do it with their way less complicated games.

game carts are not stupid :D

i must be among the few people who doesn't like the dlc and game in the cloud. For me you don't "own" the game anymore. And it brings problems. For example Final fight psn . If you don't have any psn connection , the game gonna refuse to run... what the... ^^ And in 5 years, if your hd breaks and you can not download the game anymore because it was remove from the eshop ? I'm still playing with my megadrive cart :p

I'm attached to the cart :)

I guess I was thinking how it would be great to play all your games at will, like listening to every song you ever liked on your iPhone!   Your portable game system acting like an arcade jukebox!    :D

If you back up your games like you backup your iTunes library, You won't have to worry about anthing!  ;D
