I´m on holiday right now and I haven´t been around swimming pools for years. But the last few days I was, and I´m amazed about the number of people who have a tattoo in some way. Some of them are plain ugly, some of them are very nice, some of them are huge and monstrous, some are tiny and gorgeous. But what I noriced is that tattoos are not age or gender related (anymore) and that everybody who has one, has them for a reason, they want to make a statement.
It so happens that I am already thinking on and off about getting a tattoo a long time ago, from the mid eighties on, not big, not wanting to shock, not wanting to shout something out, but just a small one. But what let me do it were my relatives around me and the fact that I didn´t quite know what I would like to express.
Until today that is. It suddenly struck me that it would be great to have a tattoo expressing my interest in general retro gaming and maybe specifically my interest in arcade gaming. I still don´t know if I ever will do it, and I´m curious how you guys feel about tattoo´s in general and hobby related in special.
Who has a tattoo? Is it a symbol, or icon, or plain words (I hope not, never tattoo a name), just one, or more, what´s the message? And if one would get an ´arcade lifestyle´ tattoo, what to get then? And where to place it? There are literally thousands of icons, trade names, game images, etc.
A classic one would maybe be a tiny ´space invader´. Or a little yellow pac-man, eating a few dots, ..... chased by a blue monster ..... in a maze of one square feet, with hundreds more dots .... and more monsters .... chosing a HS with your initials .....

Awesome! Or not, that´s the question. What do you think?
One thing that I learned here, tattoo´s are far more common and general accepted (at least, I want to think so) than 20 years or so ago.
