Greetings from Sweden...
« on: June 08, 2008, 12:17:02 PM »
So, I have finally registered on this fantastic site. I really don't remember how I came in contact with it but it was probably byaoc.com some years ago.

I must say that some of you guys have fantastic collections and I'm really jealous about it. I read all your roadtrips Bruno, and again, I want it all tooooo.

I have just bought a house and in the future, (I'm in University studying to be a nurse at the moment with no cash) and I will shortly after that start to fill my house with cabinets. It's 148 square meters but averything seems occupied at the moment. I only have a small game-room at the moment but my wife said that if I want to fulfill my dream I could use a room which was intended to be movie-room only for the purpose. The room will at least take 10 cabs.

Anyway, my first cab (I will only collect dedicated) will be this great looking Space Invaders II cab. Coming the 26 Juni.

Damn what I wanted the Boba Fett helmet sitting on top of the cab but alas...  :'(

I did also buy this one yesterday. you have one of these Bruno right? I guess it's some sort of walkthrough disk or something?

Keep up the good work.

Hi 'dimmu--borgir' (what does it means?)and welcome here, even if you read this boards since a while  ;)

Many thanks for your kind words  :-*

148 square meters ? More than enough for a lot of cabs  ;) Funny, few years ago there was a room in my house which was intended to be movie-room too... but it's now my main 'workshop' room  ;)
One advice, if your wife tell you that you're crazy, show her the Galaxian roadtrip and you'll see.. she'll agree 'normal size' cabinets  :P ;D

Opsss, it seems that your links require some kind of registration or something ?  :?

Maybe you can send me the pictures by mail and I'll host them on this website  :P

Don't hesitate to share all your "arcadelifestyle" stories here  ;)  :-*

Hi 'dimmu--borgir' (what does it means?)

Dimmu Borgir is my favourite band. Norwegian Black Metal. The original Dimmu Borgir (which they named themself after) is a lava formation on Iceland which look like a portal/castle. Translated from Icelandic to English would probably be Castle of Darkness or something.

Thanks! My plan is to start with Arcades that have "ZEN". Pong, Pacman, Space Invaders, Missile Command, Asteroids, Defender etc. How in the name of *** will I find a Pong in Sweden??

No, a friend of mine will come with it in the middle of the night June 26.

He will also have the other arcades (not on the picture) with him. Tempest (no sideart unfortunatley) and Space Duel which is the one you see little of on the picture. If Tempest was dedicated I would have bought that one as well.
