Very cool to hear testimony of creators of those blessed times.
I'm still can believe it's true.
See Bruno, be proud of your site.

To Bruno, you don't know Eric Swartz ? Shame on you hihihi...
At that time it was one of the most famous graphic animator on the amiga scene.
I'm sure you already have seen one of his work.

Thanks for your reply Bruno, but I take decided this morning to give another try.
As I've seen so far, either I'm not able to read pin out schematics or they are wrong.

Despite this, after wiring every single color, I did it successfully :

Pixel pitch on those screens are gorgeous, even if I noticed some geometry problem on the sides of the picture.

Here is the pin out I finally used :

On male connector witch to be plugged on the female of the monitor :

1. Gnd
2. -
3. Red
4. Green
5. Blue
6. -
7. Sync
8. -
9. -

Seems to be similar to this related pin out :  :ghost:

Bruno,

I'm just sick with this monitor.
all the pinout i've found on the net are all different and none of them work.
Sorry, I should be lame.

I've just plugged my 48in1 successfully.
Unfortunately, colours are ugly with blurry effects...

Okay, if you have the floppies, I can certainly make the PC files...

cheers,
Pierre

Sorry bruno, but what is Amiga LDG version ?

For the PC transfert, I need to dig a bit in my old tools of that time.
I already did that using DOS emu on the amiga 500, with disk splitting of the original 880K sized amiga floppy,
saved on a 720Ko regular PC floppy,
maked that procedure twice to get the entire amiga floppy in two parts
and finally join those parts with a poor C++ prog and save it to restore the amiga disk as pc file.

Challenging, but by far not impossible

Note  : easier way for such transfert welcome

Yeps, these 1084 monitors are really great  :) I'm still using it to configure my different setups   ;)

Don't forget to drop few pictures of it when the wiring will be done  :P
sure mate, unfortunately, electronics shops in my neighborhood were closed yesterday & today wtf
so it wasn't tested as fast as i expected.
I just need a damned subd 9 connector...

By the way, i pick up my old A500 that was sleeping in my parent's house.
I couldn't make it work with the 1084 yet, because the cable i was using at that time
was an amiga to  scart for use on a regular european tv.
I didn't own any original commodore monitor in the past.
This lack is about to be fixed.
Afoo !

I'm too impatient to see if the picture is that good using pcb's on it...

Diggin in the dungeon of the lair, I just put my finger on this interesting topic, as I bought yesterday a 1084.
Thanks for the wiring opinion, as those found on the net seamed to be weird to me with their mini din pin out.
See You, Nuno.
I hope to make it work tonight

The drawings make me have some tears rolling down my cheek : unreachable old good time.
Retro gamer feelings apart, thank you for your really moving testimony

8)  that nice ....

i am hosting a little birthday today for a coworker too  :D

star warsssssssssssssssssssss ...that a nice cab ...

with no hesitation and even if the starwars trilogy is a real blockbuster cab witch is absolutely amazing and only a few steps away, my admiration goes to the starwars classic vector game, it's incredibly playable, with stunning sound immersion. It just make you forget that it is so old !!!
fantastic.

Pierre still in heaven.

The lair had changed a lot since my last visit.
It was a great pleasure to see you again, you and Anne
And for the first time to have enough time to lunch with you.
I must com back to visit Arlon much more : seems to be a lovely town.

For me it was a real delight to play rolling thunder thunder on your perfect dedicated cab.
I slept with the angels at night :P

We've gone with stars in our eyes.

Thank you.

Thanks for the link Fred  :P  I plan to get a Rolling Thunder II and a Jamma swith, in order to play both version inside the cab.

pretty good idea
despite the fact rolling thunder 2 isn't really interesting compared to the first episode. Colours are much brighter but the evil guys look awfull
