For the cabinet look and the game :

1- Discs Of Tron (both upright and envirnomental), must say this is the best cab of all time. What a classy look.
2- Sit-down Out Run cab.
3- Karate Champ VS (mostly for the game - I was addict, dreaming of it and all -, the cab wan't that great)

Yeah, thanks i saw this but I'm not very familiar with sketchup, plus, the model doesn't look very accurate.

Hi Muerto,

I'm building a 7/10 Taito cab replica and I miss some dimensions.

When you have time, can you tell me :

- The speakers board dimensions ? (the one above the screen)
- The CP dimensions ?

Thanks,

Mike.

Hey superully.

Sorry to bump this out, but I plan to build from scratch a 7/10 scale Taito cab, and I'm missing some dimensions :

- The two control panel boards,
- The speakers board (the one above the screen)

Could you measure these for me please ?

Great.

Well, I suggest you try one day some alkyde water based paints (the next gen paints).

In France, several brands are selling it, like Astral Peintures and others.

I've recently painted the interior doors of my house, and the result, after only two coats, is great. Looks really like oil based paints.

Hey, do you still use oil based paints ?

For my next project I'll try some alkyde water based paint which is as resistent as oil based but with no odor and water cleanable (no white spirit).

No problem, thanks for your help.

I think I'll find these measures somewhere else on the net.

Hey scr33n, I reply to this 2008 topic, cause I have some questions.

I plan to build a 70% scaled Taito cab, (I got the dimensions, and all), but I need some tips :

1/ How can you have angled cut on your boards (control panel, roof) : do you use an electric mitre saw or something ?

2/ Where have you bought these control panel metallic clamps ? I saw arcadeshp.de have some. Are they good ?

3/ How the glass is maintain ? only by these two thick length of wood on each side ? Nothing at top and bottom ends of the glass ?

Cheers from France,

Mike.

Good luck for your new project, screen, precise/clean work as usual !

A good source of inspiration !

PS : I plan to build a 70% scaled scratch build replica of Taito 80's cab, like your very first project in 2008.
I posted some questions on your topic.  Wink

 Tongue

wow.

PS : Screen, is it easy for you, in italia, to find brand new CRT TV's ?

Cause in France they have TOTALLY disappeared.

We can find a lot of good condition TV's, though, at waste collection centres.
