This reminds me an urban legends .... that says a Star Wars cockpit can be easily disassembled... is it true?
Definitly not.

Reminds me of crazy times, where people disassembled their game, took them downstairs, re-assembled them  just for Eurocade.....and then the whole process the other way around after the event......crazy people ! Cheesy
3  General Chat / Technical Area / Re: Roadtrip time tomorrow.......Fluke 9100A system catch on: September 30, 2018, 08:39:40 PM
My friends......when I sold my cabs, I kept this Fluke 9100 set because I thought maybe it would be useful to repair my beloved Atari 800 computers and those from others. However, first of all, those about 35 year old Atari's are such quality built devices that they hardly have any issues and when they do, they are mostly common, well known ones (like bad keyboard mylar) or bad RAMs (XE only, only when a certain Jack Tramiel had taken over and applied his Commodore tactics).

Anyway.....I am looking for a good new home for the entire set as it takes up a lot of space.

Please note that I already sold one of the 9100's. It was the one without the HD and monitor output, so the most useful one is still here.

However, it has one "big" issue: the front plastic has broken off. This means the keyboard/display part has become detached from the unit. Last time I started it up it still worked though....I'll definitely check it again ASAP.

Anyway, you will need to repair this in some clever way....maybe a good glue job ?

Further....everything is still there....but some pods I have opened up to work on and did not re-assemble. I am also NOT guaranteeing all pods work. I have used the system a few times and sometimes it worked fine but sometimes I had the feeling there was something wrong with some pods despite testing OK.

There are LOADS of extra's....really a treasure but I'll be honest enough that not all extra's may be useful for the hobby.

Anyway, most people know how much certain pods for this system are worth, as well as a working 9100A. The separate keyboard alone is very much searched after and is included and working. If you want I can add the Philips CM8833 monitor and the cable.

Please let me know if there is any interest. This stuff is heavy and it's a lot. Pick-up would sure be the best.

6  General Chat / 'Business' Area : Buy/Sell/Trade / FS: Star Wars cockpit T-molding (New repro) on: July 15, 2018, 02:21:38 PM
Gotta (further) clean out my arcade stuff....

This is enough length of reproduction T-molding for one Atari Star Wars Cockpit cab.

It is brand new reproduction and has been in storage for some years. An occasional, hardly visible bump might be there because of storage but it's like new mostly.

This is the only correct t-molding available for a SW cockpit.

Item is located in The Netherlands.

Payment through SEPA bank transfer required. (Any online banking should offer this, I will provide the necessary IBAN/BIC information. This kind of international bank transfer is free for both parties.

11  General Chat / Arcade Lifestyle / Re: ARDUINO project for classic cabinets on: June 04, 2018, 11:32:58 PM
I'm actually in need of the smallest possible Arduino so I'm playing around with a Digispark (clone) Attiny85 now. Only a few pins, but enough for my project Smiley

Yeah I downloaded the Arduino IDE and it works nicely enough for small projects. It is a good thing that I learned to program C back in my electronics school years (during a practice year at a company). I had mastered BASIC way before that and we had some PASCAL at school, but C is really quite different and more powerful...so now this pays off Smiley

What Arduino did you use and what language did you use to program it ?

I've ordered some Arduino stuff and like to give some projects a try....IF I can find a bit of free time.... Cheesy

Very cool. Much underrated game. Americans didn't like it. OK we have to thank them else DK might never have happened Wink

But this is from 1980 and already looks to have elements that Galaga copied....

The biggest mistake IMHO is the wireframe graphics that sit still. This gives it a SI feeling....if it would have had moving starfield like Galaxian or Galaga, it would have felt much more dynamic.

Awesome that you have the version with the voice !!

My former MB was in a RS cabinet and had the RS type monitor....

Also love to hear some sounds quite similar to DK Smiley
15  General Chat / Technical Area / Re: Hantarex MTC 9000 and Power Supply US 250 on: May 04, 2018, 08:53:05 AM
Stromversorgung = the power you put into it.

The 136VDC is an OUTPUT voltage from the supply going to the monitor.

You need to see it like part of what normally is on the monitor itself is now done in the separate power supply..

Why our Hantarex friends thought that this was a good idea will always be a mystery to me.....
