great info nuno !!!!

the first time i realise that monitor like that could be use for arcade, it was one day when i ask a guy who has an astro fighter , and i ask him for the correct dip switches.
when i read his web page, he mention how he replace the 13" monitor with an old commodore monitor.....

great stuff to make test bench  8)

i even tried the game in the 1943 cab, PERFECT !!!

next step, buy the mike double jamma adapter, and connect both boards ...

i will just to have to press player 1&2 at the same time to switch between games

Arcade Lifestyle / Space Invaders part II : WIP...

GREAT STUFF BRUNO !!!!!!!

this is such a good game,

but one thing i've to tell you, if you ever have a chance to own the stand up arcade, buy it !!!!!!!!!! this is nothing compare to the cocktail.

you see the stand up has a black light with the moon station, the monitor is on the bottom of the cab and the image is reflected on a miror ...

when you play the game, the invaders look like they are floating on top of the moon base, and the black light make the deco glow...

this game is the oldest in my game room and the one that everybody is talking about...

take a look at theese pictures:
http://www.arcadefever.net/RESTOFMYCOLLECTION/invadersII/invaders.html

you cant see the drawing on the moon , coz of the camera.
but if i've time i will do a little video so you can see what i'm talking about....

anyway, great that your coktail is working now  :D

:D  i just took a few days off, and decide to finally restore my 1943.
i got that cab 3 years ago for $100, but the art of the CP was in very bad shape.

the CP as also 2 big figthing stick, ugly buttons, burn and discolor plexy and a very old monitor.

i bought a new CPO on ebay, bought some plexi ...and this is the result:

OLD 1943:

NEW 1943  :o

First i change the monitor  :(  sad coz it has been inside sins 1982   but the burns on the screen are to much during the game play...

that the new monitor,  (THANKS TO MR.MEGALO !!! form Killer cabs for giving me the adress in Miami   )

now, remove all the old cables and rewire the all thing....

for the sticks, i use 2 sanwa and for the buttons, transparent red and blue with led lights...

i also add a lighted button for the credits, and that the cab done

that cab look great now !!! i'm going to get the "mike double jamma adapter" and add "1942" by pressing player 1 and 2 at the same time, i will be able to switch between both game....

the perfect old school shooter reunion... 1942&1943 ....

 :D
