For all who love old computers.

Near Florence, on Sunday 28 November, at Campi Bisenzio it will be: Firenze Vintage Bit 2010.
Link to the page http://retrocomputer.org/index.asp, unfortunately the site is only in Italian.
Could be a good occasion to meet the Italian members of the forum ( and not only Wink )

Update: due to a serious familiar problem, the trip was cancelled.

Try to read on this link:https://www.daphne-emu.com:9443/mediawiki/index.php/DigitalLeisureDVD
On the DaphneWiki:
"Step By Step: Playing your first game

Here are easy instructions for playing Dragon's Lair in Daphne. This isn't the only way to play Dragon's Lair, but it is the easiest way, and the only way that we recommend. If you want to try other ways to play Dragon's Lair, make sure you have successfully gotten this method working first!

   1. Run DaphneLoader (running Daphne directly will not work)
   2. You may be prompted that a new version of DaphneLoader exists. If so, click OK to automatically update to the latest version. If not, continue to the next step.
   3. You will see a list of games. Click on Dragon's Lair so that Dragon's Lair is now highlighted.
   4. Click the Start button.
   5. You will be warned that a Dragon's Lair DVD will be required. If you don't have a Dragon's Lair DVD, or aren't sure if you have one or not, go read about it here. Otherwise, click OK.
   6. You will be prompted that DaphneLoader needs to download some files. Click OK to begin the download.
   7. The download will take hours or days depending on how fast your internet connection is. Be patient and allow the download to finish. You will be glad you did.
   8. Once the download finishes, you will be prompted to insert your DVD. Insert the DVD and click OK.
   9. DaphneLoader will attempt to authenticate the DVD. If authentication succeeds, go to the next step. If authentication fails, go here.
  10. Once the authentication is complete, you will be prompted that the game is ready to begin. Click OK and Dragon's Lair will start.
  11. You may be prompted that Daphne needs to parse video files. If so, press any key to continue. If not, proceed to the next step.
  12. You will hear two beeps and may see some video playing. Wait for a third beep which sounds different than the first two beeps, then go to the next step.
  13. You should see the Dragon's Lair introduction begin to play where the announcer says "Dragon's Lair, a fantasy adventure...". Insert two virtual coins by pressing the '5' key twice. Then press the '1' key to start the game.
  14. Use the arrow keys and the space bar to control Dirk's movements and use his sword. "

Take a look Wink

Etienne [NL]: If You want use a 50 ohm pot, try to search on RS website.
I find some on the Italian pages:http://it.rs-online.com/web/search/searchBrowseAction.html?method=retrieveTfg&Ne=4294589105&Nr=AND%28avl%3Ait%2CsearchDiscon_it%3AN%29&N=4294593608+4294583997+4294494827&Ns=stockPolicy_it|1||new_it|1&binCount=3196&multiselectParam=4294593608%204294583997&selectAttribute=50%CE%A9#breadCrumb.
43  General Chat / Arcade Lifestyle / Re: Need heating for my gameroom so I'm going to buy.....an airco ! on: October 24, 2010, 01:21:58 PM
Leve42: how many m3 (not m2) the build are?
I'll ask because I have a conditionar sistem (only cold), and on a room of 64 m3, I need to use a 12000but unit.
The previous conditionar is a 9000but unit and it take a lot of time to put down a couple of greades ( leaving the sistem alwais on day/night).
44  General Chat / Arcade Lifestyle / Re: A couple of great finds: Punch-Out!! and Paperboy on: October 23, 2010, 12:27:25 AM

Then the last question: how do you remove this?

there's a cylindrical lock in it (they call it "roll pin" on the manual): should it be removed with a hammer?  Shocked

Try using an "allen" (in italian "Brugola"). There are various meausure. I'd like it on my bow.
