All the rest / Re: German flight booking sites
« on: April 11, 2011, 02:22:07 AM »
i cant remember who i heard this from, but flight pricing is a dark art (hope that phrase makes sense), the discounts and offers are extremely finely calculated and manipulated to get the best money for the airline, there are no rules or simple system we as customers can follow to get good deals, its totally random to us, so the comparative pricing seems crazy

From my long UK Roadtriper' experience, I can tell you the UK collectors are those who sell the most expensive in Europe  :?
One of the reason is maybe the cost of living... quite expensive than other country? Anyway, some serious collectors over there, as you probably know ;) They are lucky to have easy connection with US, since centuries... it helps also  :P
we have managed to install a special ebay filter that makes the cabs look expensive to europeans to stop your raids. the defender is just £10 buy it now to uk people  :D

when i see the prices you guys quote cabs do seem really cheap, to me £1500 is the price i'd expect to see defender go for on ebay when they are available and its been this price for years. people will pay a lot for nostalgia here it seems

is it just me or are the prices on ebay.co.uk getting crazier and crazier?
the conversion rate doesn't help i'm sure, but as said, defender is THE cab, if ever i meet someone who has a casual interest in a cab, they name defender as the one they want. i am one of those people too :D

Hello all
I've just recently started using this service, it's free online/cloud storage, (cloud storage means it syncs between the devices you choose)i have it on my laptop, mac and iphone.
you get 2GB free normally, if you join through my link we both get a extra .25GB, when you join you do a few things to get a bit more storage, this doesn't involve inviting people if you don't want to.

it did occur to me it may be useful to us here in a particular way, say we wanted to have an easy way to share artwork, someone could set up a folder and invite others, each time one of us added a file to that sharing folder it would instantly be shared with all the members of that sharing folder, could be handy i thought

anyway, i think its pretty useful due to my work travels, maybe its of use to you

here is my link
 :)

i didn't realise the day was upon us. what time do you finish work today (tuesday the 1st) i need to co ordinate a good time for you to go to the casino de paris, my friend will be there all day, but i guess you will be in work too , while the band is onstage is not a good time, just before they go onstage is not the best time either. i will try to see what time they are onstage and see if my friend has an idea of how his day/evening will be.
prepare for things to change as his priority must be any emergency in work, if they happen, but between us we will work it out. ;)
