Hey guys. I recently bought three of the Pac-Man 25th Anniversary Cabs. They were manufacutred by Namco in Jan. 2006.
I don´t know if you guys here are interested in such a cab because they are not exactely "vintage" arcade game classics.

Anyway... one of the cabs is for my basement, the other one is sold to a very well known member of DFL. ;)
I have one left so if somebody here is interested just drop me a line. The price would be 899 Euros. Thats pretty much what I had to pay with shipping to my store. I have it for sale in my shop for 999 Euros though.

Here is a pic of the actuall cab in my shop. I can post more if somebody is interested. The cab is in pretty good condition. Everything works fine, no burn ins in the CRT 24" monitor.

Oh yeah.. it features Pac-Man, Ms. Pac-Man and of course Galaga. The best score is saved for each game. It also features the speed-versions of the pacs and a rapid fire-version of galaga. everything can be set in the settings screen. coin door is there, too. :)

Arcade Lifestyle / Just a quick Popeye restauration
« on: March 09, 2014, 01:26:03 PM »
Well... only touching up some stuff here and there.

The cab was in C3 from Thomas. Took me ages to start with it. The screen was pretty much done. It was blurry as hell but it got better when it ran for about 20 minutes. Jochen had to take care of that.

Looks great again just whenever you fire the cab up.

The worst part was the control panel. It had nasty cigarette burns and the overall look was not very nice.

Thank god this is the easiest part of our hobby. :)

Took care of the metal parts as well... and started to put everything back together again. :)

Of course there had to be new sidearts as well.

Now it looks great in my Nintendo-row:

If anybody has a real instruction underlay for Popeye... let me know. I am using a printed one. Colours do not really match but for now it will do.

If you wanna see all the other pics... just visit my tumblr. I will upload new stuff frequently.

Hey guys. I was lucky a lot of times here with my wishes so I thought I give it another try.
I am looking for a Qbert or/and a Pacman dedicated upright. My collection would not be complete without those two.
If somebody is thinking about selling one of those... let me know. :)

Pickup can be arranged. :)

'Business' Area : Buy/Sell/Trade / WTB: Neckboard for Sanyo 20ezv
« on: March 03, 2014, 10:33:41 AM »
You guessed it by now... We are fixing some of our projects at the moment.
My Popeye from the states has a bad screen. It is blurry for at least 15 minutes after you turn the cab on. after a while the picture gets better. We need a neckboard for the Sanyo. I would be really happy if somebody here can help me with this. :)

Yeah... that one is missing. Would love to change my control panel to the original button-layout.
Maybe somebody here has one left for me. :) they seem to be sold out at mikes...

Thank you in advance, guys!

Arcade Lifestyle / A few new babies for my basement
« on: February 22, 2014, 04:15:08 PM »
This is an insane week for my collection. I was lucky to get a Gauntlet, then the cabs from C4 arrived... and today I got a Galaga 88.
If this alone would not be enough to make me happy Jochen and Chris are on a roadtrip at the moment. The will bring Blasteroids, Space Invaders, Qix and OutRun later tonight. Hmpf... they all have to go to the basement. This means pain for my body during the next few days.

Here are a few pics of what is here so far:

Hey guys. I had a Popeye in C3 with a messed up monitor in it. It takes ages to show a more or less clear picture. We tracked down the problem and now I need to find a flyback for it.
Any chances one of you guys can help me out?

'Business' Area : Buy/Sell/Trade / WTB Pacman Cabinet
« on: December 29, 2013, 08:28:29 PM »
Hey guys.

I was thinking the other day that my arcade is missing a Pacman cabinet. I never had the chance to come across one so far so maybe you can keep your eyes open for me, too... or maybe somebody here wants to sell his cab. A Q-Bert would be cool, too. :)

I think those cabs belong in my collection. Thank you for your help, guys.

Have a great 2014!
Stefan

Arcade Lifestyle / Massive Road Trip to pick up some cabs for my basement
« on: October 12, 2013, 04:13:31 PM »
Hey guys. Sorry for the delay. On the 05.10.2013 we made a road trip to get me some new cabs in Neustadt, Lauda, Bitburg and Kerzweilerhof. Here are some pics. I hope you enjoy them. :)

Let me introduce my team first: Jochen and Chris. Some of you may know Jochen. He is ajhippel aka Jochen Hippel aka Mad Max, the famous Atari ST musician.

First we drove to Bitburg to give Love a helping hand and to pick up my Popeye from C3! We also took the cabs for some other guys who wanted to pick their stuff up at my shop.

Next stop: Neustadt. Krik, Luigi.. here we come!

We picked up 3 cabs for the basement. Zaxxon, Arkanoid and Cosmic Alien, the only dedicated cab of those three.

Back in the van... let´s meet the famous guy from Lauda:

What a pickup: Pole Position, Gorf, Pengo, Defender and Wizard of Wor... all dedicated... all working except Gorf. All in amazing shape! Super!

Ok.. enough for now.. Let´s get back to my shop... WOW....

Next day... everything goes to the basement. :) Tyrem is happy!

Hope you enjoyed the pics.

Technical Area / Can´t get out of bookkeeping mode in my Defender
« on: October 08, 2013, 09:23:58 AM »
Hey guys!

I just got a shiny new Defender but it has one little problem that keeps me from playing it. :)

The machine boots up and makes a self test. After that it jumps in bookkeeping mode. I have seen the manuals how to leave this mode but somehow this will not work for me. As soon as I press the buttons behind the coin door in the order that was written in all the manuals... it just does nothing except jumping into the next option in the bookkeeping mode.

do you guys have any idea? maybe i am doing something terribly wrong. i understand that there are some issues with the battery but the previous owner told me that he was allways able to exit bookkeeping anyway.

Thank you for your help!

Arcade Lifestyle / Name your cabs in need of a save kit
« on: September 07, 2013, 07:52:30 PM »
Jochen did a good, no an amazing job on Wizard of Wor. I am amazed how well it went. We have 2 player high score table, something that was not there before. My question to you guys is: What games in your arcade are in need of a save kit because there is nothing on the market so far.

I am in need of a Galaga 88 for example. I would kill for that... and the High Score upload (which would be optional because of your feedback). Please let us know.
