This is something I would like to own! here.

Me too, only not for that amount of money.
These demopods/display units gives your home consoles a nice place in the room, not tuckt away in a closet.
So definately looking for these unit (dreamcast, xbox) when the price is right (low  ;D )

Very nice build Etienne. I envy you guys with so much knowledge and two right hands.  :)

If you consider selling one, drop me a pm  ;)

For the time being i'm not considering selling one (use them to link or place my ps1 in the other one)
but i saw another one for sale (although a bit steep in price)
Has some nice other things as well (only high pices  :( )
such as a xbox demopod, a tekken lifesize actionfigure.

Will look for them. If i see one popping up again (regulary) at marktplaats i will notify you

Yes the racers are very nice indeed, need a lot of space and are difficult to move.

Had a lot of problems to move the rad mobile deluxe i bought, damaging my car a little bit  :(
How do you guys move such big cabs (twincabs and cockpits). Can they be disassembled in two pieces and with how many people?

Bought another one cheap which had the power cable and is a v2 or so (how many version are there? I know these two and an accessoire that you can click on top of the demopod for the eyetoy. For the first one there is an iron frame gameholder, which isn't needed anymore for v2 because it has one build in)

Seach the difference :)

Seller told me the tv (Sony KV=21FX30B), which is a higher model than the first demopod (Sony KV-21FX20B),
misfunctioned. Only the color green is shown.

But luckily it was the ps2 av/scart cable. Had another good one lying around, so used that one.

Here are some pictures of the powercable i was searching and was the reason to start this toppic.

And here is a picture of the instruction leaflet, which isn't a loose paper but a sticker on the left side of the box.

This conclude this toppic. Thanks to all  :)

Thanks etienne for the link, to bad the photo don't let you see the plug clearly upfront.

Have been to the local electronic store today with the contraplug, which i dismanteld from the cab, and the man recognized the plug, but sadly in backorder. Used for fluorescent tube lamps he sad. Holes could be on the wrong side though so wil have to come back next week to check if it will fit.

Here are more pictures of the demopod's inside for reference (haven't found photo's of it online, so here they are)

Very cool machine. I'm not an expert on this machine, but I will give it a shot. The movement knows three parts. 1 the engine part that makes the actual movement,2  the hardware and software on the motherboard, 3 sensors that decide how the movement should go. The last part I' m not sure about it could be that every move is just software based and not influenced by sensors.

BUT, at startup the testmovement works. So part 1 and 2 are working. That leaves three options, a specificpart of the software is corrupt ( highly unlikely), the movement option has been turned of in the setup, ( check setup and manual), last option most likely... Sensors or sensor wiring is dirty or broken.

Find the sensors by checking out the manual or just following wires, ccheck in the test mode of the software if there is a sensor, button test mode.

Good luck

Thanks Laszo, will check them when i have put the cab together again. At the seller's home we have looked at the sensors already because the signal disappeared sometimes when touching it.

Dismanted the case (4 allen screws) and my brother who visited me today repaired the joypad.

just a normal 6 powersocket was placed within where the ps2, tv and lamps were inserted, with that ''security'' socket at the end.
So replacing that with a normal powerplug is the easiest way.

Finally i could test it and it's working 100%. Tv and ps2 were good, only one fluorescent tube had to be replaced.

He was willing to sell both cabs for €125,- in total, so i definitely didn't complain about the price.  ;)

sold them both to me for 90 euro. A bargain it seems  :)

191
The seller told me that another buyer who wanted both, didn't want it anymore because of the prize (i only wanted the crazy kong) so i came back in the picture.
Didn't know it was another forum member.

After buying the cab for less than i bid he offered the other cab for even less. Seeing it was an originel cab, although a bit broken i took it also.
Looking back i think by myself why selling the cabs for less? Maybe even that was to high?

What would you guys have payed for them?

193
Wondered what the manufacterer was. A zacc universal cockpit cab it is.
Didn't know the asking price, 250 euro, a lot more (2x) than what has been bid on marktplaats it seems.
Game looks nice but cab can't be taken apart so a no go for me.  :(

A picture of the cab found on internet

Googled for more info on this cab, but it wasn't very succesfull. So a direct question, maybe someone on this forum has this cab also and more knowledge of it.

The cab moves when initialising but when playing it doesn't. What could cause this? Motor is good else it wouldn't move at all. During a game it moves very slowly bit by bit to the left and stay there. Have to shutdown and start again to get it back in the start position.

Here is a movie i found on youtube of the cab in action

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N78efnYxhMQ

Here is another one which demonstrate that it must move even in demo mode

I'm missing the coinbox by the way  :(
The seller hadn't room for it when he bought it, and because it wasn't working he had thrown it away.

Just bought a playstation 2 demopod. Nice condition, key missing and one broken joypad but most important i'm missing the powercable, which turned out to be a strange one. Never seen the connection before.

Does someone else also has one and is willing to send me a picture of it,or know where to buy it?

Instruction manual/leaflet scan wanted also (on how to dismantel it to replace the broken joypad) (seen a leaflet  at a sale on marktplaats earlier this year)
