After taking another look at the GALAXIAN THEATER I wonder how much space is left in V3 for other cabs after the installation of the GALAXIAN THEATER?

Welcome!

Great work! Even without any arcade machines in it, your room has a relaxing and friendly ambience.

The one you pictured in your last post is the cabaret version which I've never seen.

Corrected it. I'm ashamed that it's so obvious that I don't have a clue of arcade machines  ...but I'm here to learn  ;)

 :)

I hope the building didn't take any damage while the roof was missing.

Hopefully the nice weather is encouraging further progress.

no offence, but are these models  ???

No  :D. These women are the ones who cast the girls for an advertisment campaign. My text of the initial post seems to be a bit missleading - corrected it.

@Muerto: Thanks for the information.

The cab from the broadcast looked like a restoration gone wrong (or only have way) at first site so I didn't think of googling it.

All the rest / Ms. Pacman / Galaga cab on "Germany's next topmodel"
« on: March 23, 2012, 08:03:55 PM »
I have a confession to make : While working on my PC, I occasionally watch "Germany's next topmodel" as background noise. Yesterday, I was surprised to notice a working Ms. Pacman / Galaga cab standing in the back of the photo studio.

The design of the kickplate (is that the right name for the front of the cab?) looks kind of strange.

Dutch guy?
Where else do they name boys Erik except in Holland and Sweden (Erik the Viking).

When it's about the spelling ("Erik" instead of "Eric"): In Germany

.....does anyone have Vol.1 ? Does it handle the arcade history of Nintendo extensively?

I don't own it, but these informations are published on the pix'n love website:

"For the very first time ever Nintendo's historical product portfolio is catalogued in painstaking and loving detail, with over 500 card games, tabletop games, toys, electronic and arcade games all compiled into one superbly crafted book.

This deluxe collectors book details Nintendo's humble beginnings as a playing card manufacturer, charting progress through the entire range of toys and games, including such legendary products as Love Tester, Ten Billion, Ultra Hand, Custom Gunman and hundreds more, progressing up to the first video arcade games, home consoles and game & watch series. Every card game, every toy, every product, meticulously catalogued and pictured, and compiled into a rich myraid of content that will literally draw you right into the pages in awe. [...]"

From the table of contents:

"Chapter 7 - Nintendo and the Arcade Games (ranging from page 180-211 - chapter 8 starts at page 212):

Donkey Kong and Mario Bros aren't Nintendo's only big titles in Arcade games. Always trying to innovate and determined to emerge as a leader in Arcade games among the other giants of the sector the company released countless avant-garde products. The Laser Clay System, Simulation System and EVR System are amongst a few."

Here's a 12 page preview of the book.

A Zaccaria cab without game.

The auction ends today at 17:46.

I've got the press kit of Alan Wake, but don't consider to sell it.

Press kits of modern games often come with better packaging and better content than the retail version. Besides the game disc (sometimes a beta version, but in most cases the retail version with a different disc label), the special packaging contains a media disc (with trailers, artwork,...) and some goodies like a t-shirt, postcards,....
