'Business' Area : Buy/Sell/Trade / WTB: Pac Man 4-Player Tournament
« on: February 25, 2013, 08:38:56 AM »
..if someone has this machine to offer I would be happy to add it to my collection. Saw one months ago at a dutch arcade website but it seems it's gone (can't even find the website any more).
So there must be some machines around in Europe at least :-)

Arcade Lifestyle / Arcadeshop dot com - Question
« on: February 24, 2013, 11:07:45 AM »
Hi folks,

anybody has a contact to this guy?
http://www.arcadeshop.com/parts.htm

dropped him 4 e-mails - in case of spam I even made a friend of mine to send him an e-mail - but never never got a reply.

I was hoping to get everything for my centipede restauration (cocktail)....and dropped an "order" of 500 USD....

as stated. I nearly got one Point Blank already but in the end with the seller it didn't worked out (thats another story...).

I prefer picking up in Germany, Netherlands or Denmark within 400km from my homebase (part time Osnabrück/Hamburg).

Hi folks,

hence space is not a problem for me - I'm always interested to get some dedicated "larger" cabs - e.g. I would love to have a Space Harrier Sit-Down, Afterburner Sit Down, G-Loc, Out Run Motorcycle or anything else of that size.

These would be great add-ons for my retro-spective gaming exhibition held once a year. And of course to my upcoming game room.

Feel free to offer any machine. Thanks.

Artwork / Converting a Zacc Table -> Gyruss (suggestions on Artwork please)
« on: November 21, 2012, 08:54:28 PM »
Hi folks.

During my 12 weeks vacation I need to fix all of my arcades. More threads will follow soon :)

Anyway - I decided to convert one of my zacc tables to a Gyruss game. I love this shooter. As far as I know there hasn't been a cocktail so far - seems I need to make it my own.
I would love to hear your thoughts.

Well - this how it looks like:

Glasses
and the controls:

So far I found an upright marquee GFX (US and European Edition), the Flyer, CPO GFX and more.

You know the stuff:

(note: this image looks like the EU marquee, too).

So what do you think of this solution:

and

I was thinking of editing a larger Underlay for the glasses - similar to the TARG table:

I may be able to extract the space ships and stars from the Gyruss flyer...hmmh...what do you think?

Artwork / Wanted: Centipede Cocktail stickers
« on: October 26, 2012, 02:27:00 PM »
Hi folks,

have a centipede cocktail table  - technically working - but needs a lot of work when it comes to it's appearance.

Can anybody provide hi-res scans of the stickers and the control panel?

I know some guys here do own such a machine, too - where did you get your stickers from? (cannot find the thread of the restauration of one user over here).

Artwork / Space Invaders - Cocktail - Anybody speaking Japanese?
« on: October 25, 2012, 11:21:48 AM »
Hi folks,

I have a taito cocktail with a japanese instruction. One is missing.

I could scan it, but best would be do reproduce it in Indesign. However I'm lacking japanese and while I changed my PC keyboard to Japanese I searching like an idiot for the correct expressions.

Could anybody help me out in sending me a textfile with the correct words? should be an easy task - even for non japanese native speakers ;-)

Hi folks,

does anybody have a spare Capcom CPS II Motherboard for blue modules?
I'm also looking for "Shadow of Mystara" by SSI / AD&D for the Capcom System.

Anybody familiar with their "suicide battery" problem?

Technical Area / Atari VCS 2600 Pop Store Display Kiosk - Reproduction
« on: October 24, 2012, 02:18:56 PM »
Hi folks,

now that I have at least all measurements, vinyl stickers and of course some games and a vcs unit and a limit of 8 weeks vacation to assemble that one -  I need your help in finding the correct Arcade buttons and sticks.

The Atari Store Demo Unit originally had a build in unit with 40+ games - and arcade hardware controls like being shown in the pictures.
Can anybody guess where I can find a similiar stick and spinner? also it would be of interest to hear your ideas for the "grey suroundings" of the controls.
Any arcade game I could take these from? any other idea? Otherwise I need to draw these in Illustrator myself.

Let me know.

Original Demo unit

Close up shot on the arcade section.

Seems like the push buttons are standard ones. The joystick looks familiar to the Atari VCS Joysticks but it's a bit different (if I won't find any other I will take the controller of the atari 2600).

A friend of mine already build one - but he wasn't able to get into the arcade controls. With your help - I may find the correct parts to make it better.

Inside the Unit I will place an Atari 2600 with the MyIDE Drive from my dutch friend mr-atari or a Multicard / Atarimax unit.

« on: September 18, 2012, 11:16:15 AM »
Ok. Sorry for my noob question but I cannot find the Degauss Button on my Crazy Kong or any of my Hantarex 900 monitors (Frogger Arcade)
I moved all my cabinets and it seems that the pictures are now multicoloured :-)

Can anybody provide a picture? I checked the manual (from andyaarcade) but I'm unable to find it ;-(

Hi folks,

now that I traded my 2nd Asteroids I still have a few more cabinets which I would like to sell or rather trade off.

Dedicaded cabinets:

1)Atari Battlezone - not working (have not tried to figure out) - overall good condition, seems to be complete but missing one joystick (already found a store which builds replicas or got replacement parts)
Reason: no time to fix that one.

2)Working DIG DUG Atari cabinet - European edition with wooden side. good condition. CPO has minor cigarette burns.
Reason: Sorry - that game is not my special one :-)

3)Working Space Invaders Cocktail Cabinet - Japanese Edition. Coloured game.
Reason: Got an upright as well

Other cabinets:

4) Working Gauselmann (?) upright cabinet - says "Satan of Saturn" on the back, but seems to be modified.
Reason: didn't found the time yet to replace with a good game.

5) Working TV Ideal Standard cabinet - currently running a soccer game
Reason: need space.

6) non working Cocktail table cabinet (comes with monitor) - but no idea if complete.
Reason: already got 4 working cocktail cabinets.

7) non working Cocktail table cabinet (same as 6) - but only cabinet. nothing inside. has control panels and joysticks thought.
Reason: need space

8 ) non working Mini Cockatil Table cabinet - cabinet only.
Reason: need space

9) Working Pac Man Pinball Machine

What I need - but all other offers appreciated.

1) Midway Upright Cabinet - like Pac Man. Working one prefered otherwise just the cabinet.

2) 4 Player Cabinet similar to Gauntlet Legends and/or NBA Jam/Football. - Working one prefered or in pristine condition.

3) any working dedicated game which doesn't suck :-)

I wouldn't say I prefered shooters or 80s or newer ones. Just inspire me.
QBert would be nice...or I really loved Robotron and Berzerk last Eurocade.

4) Sit Down Racer like Daytona.

5) Pinball machine.
Most wanted: Indiana Jones, Star Wars, Star Trek TNG, Terminator 2

Just drop me an e-mail or reply to this thread.
Note: I'm very busy while travelling for work and may take a few days to answer.
Pictures will be uploaded by the weekend. stay tuned.

Cabinets are located in northern Germany near the city of BREMEN - in detail 49685 Emstek.

Due to my travels on a weekly basis through Germany I can deliver any of the cabinets within a 400km range within my Hometown. These usually fit in my opel vectra caravan.

Usual travel routes - Berlin, Düsseldorf, Leer, Hannover.

P.S.: I can bring to Eurocade and swap cabinet in September.
