cool.

i donate to one such charity that organises similar outings to terminally ill kids.

i have also been on a similar flight sim myself at luton airport. you had to sit through some boring theory first, didnt take any notice of that, then it was at the controls of the flight sim. i said to the pilot, "hong kong airport at night please", that was back in the day when hong kong airport was the most difficult airport to land at and the views are spectacular (in real life you can see people in buildings you get that close to them). it was pretty awesome. like that episode of myth busters, you _can_ be talked into landing quite successfully without much intervention from the co pilot.

we didn't get to wear any stripes though.

Q: in order of most wanted, can you list the games that you picked up on this occasion? (does that make sense?)

cosmic chasm, great game on the vectrex... very tense, especially once you drop the bomb and you are legging it to the exit and you are rushing your drilling through the force fields....

ooooooh.... great memories!!  :D

ah... sorry, can't read.  :P

that's a good resolve then. the noise it makes and the kick back is a great feeling when in full flow. definitely a much better game than the sequel (though i have never played the 3rd one).

ah... great story. i thought it was gonna be Capcom's Commando at first, then it saw the pamphlet and realised it's Op Wolf and that you must be young to be 8-9 when that Op Wolf came out.  :-*

i hope you knocked the price down good. i would hate it too if the game/ cab did not fit the original description and you had made such a long journey to get there. i remember somebody else's road trip where they walked away from something like that. so here's hoping you can get the gun fully working again soon and without too much hassle.

i do wonder, did you say to the guy, "hey, the gun is not rumbling", and did he say, "what? it's supposed to rumble"?? lying through his teeth.  >:( i hope that wasn't the case.

i feel we need to conduct a Q&A on this road trip.

i'll start:

Q: which was the toughest point of the adventure?

i loved kick n run.

i remember always stomping on the kick pedal so hard that it annoyed the hell out of the arcade owner, and she would come whack me with the broom stick.

nice! had a lot of fun on the coleco when i was growing up. can't remember how the steering wheel feels now. probably gonna go for a fair bit of money cos the system & extra modules are in nice condition and boxes.
