1  General Chat / Arcade Lifestyle / Re: HOW'S IT GOING, GUYS - are you still in it or have you given up? on: January 15, 2020, 11:00:52 AM
I sold most of my dedicated cab collection a while back, but bought in lots new stuff last year. A couple of good raids made sure I was kept interested, and found some pretty unusual stuff.
Lots of restoration projects ready for this year, some I've already made a start on....Playchoice-10 Midi (with a 14" and 10" monitor, very small cab I've never seen one before!), Initial-D, Tokyo Wars and a few more should keep me busy.

Excellent, always enjoy looking through these  Smiley
3  General Chat / Artwork / Zaccaria Scramble artwork needed for restoration on: August 06, 2019, 04:26:30 PM
I have this cabinet for restoration, I've seen the control panel, bezel and I think side art have all been vectored already which will save me a big job!

Could you help me out with the vector files? I finished vectoring the Zaccaria Phoenix control panel recently so can help out adding that to the artwork files vault Smiley

These are the pieces used on the cab. I have the ability to cut and directly print to the reverse of plexi now so if anyone needed a new cp piece and bezel it's easy for me to do more prints at the same time.

Great save! Love that Galaga marquee.

This is the scan I have

Yes, that would be a better starting point especially as it's a vector. The fire and pathways can be recreated but it looks like the birds and rider are the same.

I just realised Level42 has much better scans than me, his retains the colour and detail. I should have looked at page 1 first!

I have a scan of a Euro marquee but it's in very bad condition.

You mean you have a scan that must be touched up first?
It needs completely redrawing to be printable quality. I have good dpi scans, but the detail is still low.

Beautiful! I absolutely love the side art on this game, it's stunning  Cheesy

Samples just arrived - I'll get some more in orange later. For blue it looks VERY good against my 2 different nintendo cabs (popeye and versus super mario is the lighter one).
It's a little thicker than the original stuff, but not much in it at all. I'm not sure how you are supposed to cut it though, it's very tough and I'll want clean edges.

I will see what the samples are like when they arrive, perhaps I can get a piece for you when I order mine then ship it to you.

I think this is probably what you're looking for. I'm still considering laminating one of my cabs and will be getting samples from here. It comes in one large sheet, and is in 0.8mm thickness.

I think the issue is USA and Europe laminates have slightly different meanings, in the UK Formica is a term you'd use for the thin plastic-type coating, which is how I found this site.
It looks like you'll definitely be able to get the correct orange match too.

I can print you a new bezel if you can't get an original. I've got cabaret ones in stock and doing a full size one today so can send some pics.
You can see the cabaret one here
