Wow,
Your Pac-man (and all your other builds) look superb!
Really awesome Scr33n!
This inspires me to finish mine (built from modified Jakobud plan, artwork was printed by me on adhesive vinyl). See thread below:

All the rest / Hi everyone! (after two years!)
« on: July 29, 2011, 06:34:06 AM »
Hi guys,
I sort of dropped off the face of the earth as far as arcade collecting goes. I've been doing some cleanup work around the house and in my garage are all of my arcade machines (16 or 17 I think).
My house flooded two years ago and I lost a few of them due to water damage (particularly of note was my 2/3 scale Dragon's Lair I had built four years ago! A real shame as it looked exactly like it's big brother, just smaller).
Anyway, it's good to be back here checking out what Nuno and everyone else is up to.
Looking forward to catching up on the massive number of forum posts and stories from the past several years.
Cheers to you all!
Alex

Hi,
You can buy melamine strips that attach to the edges (there are self-adhesive ones too).
THese are sold at some lumber yards, hardware stores and super stores (Lowes, Home Depot).
They don't look as good as T-molding since they are flat.
Good luck!

Hi Finny,
Happy New Year!
Yes I did finish the mini-DL. I'll post some pics this weekend.
I had a small accident with the plexi on top (the CP fell down on it hard and cracked it as well as the piece of wood behind it that holds the speakers). Luckily the monitor was not damaged and my daughter was no where near it when it broke.
I'll have to get another piece of plexi for it.

Are those real neon tubes or fluorescent bulbs?

That is really funny. I can't believe you took the entire cabinet to the store!
I'm really looking forward to your restoration. Last year I took apart my Ms Pac and never finished the restoration.
Good luck!

Looking real good!
Did you use any glue or just the L-brackets?

Looking good scr33n! I'm really looking forward to seeing you finish this.

Polaris, if you go to the BYOAC site search for a user named Spystyle. He made up a printable template for pacman.

Also, here's the posting on how I built mine (I will take another picture of how it looks today, I never did post the pic with the coin door on it).

Cool,
The CP placement was actually the toughest part of when I built my Pacman. Best of luck with yours!

This (and Firefox) used to be my favorite laserdisc games.
There have many of the cockpit cabinets given away for free here in NY. (There were no takers so I'm sure they were destroyed).
It's not as much fun now as when it was new, but the bombing missions can still be great!
Grab it if you can, it's a nice game.

Holy Smokes Barry! That is truly terrible. I'm sorry about your sister's place.
I'm glad that all you guys are ok though.
Hang in there friend, I'm keeping you and your family in my prayers.
