Yeah Skodas are good cars!

I wonder what arcade stories the old car can tell us and what the new one is going to experience :)

Hi,
thanks for the pics. The selection of games is really good IMHO. Would love to play that Contra. And I love this industrial style of the bar :)

This is regularly on Ebay. Have seen it quite often and also had some discussions about the cab :)

Well, this might be nice to built a Low End Playchoice Cab. I'm wondering for what this system has been used. Orion was a German Universal Cab producer. Did they offer Playchoice Systems in Germany using these things?

I think the Dutch team has a motivation problem. I mean, look at how they played around the 60th minute. They were basically standing in their own half and did not even try to attack the Germans. Even Hummels nearly shot a goal by simply moving forward from the middle line directly to the goal. When the Dutch people scored, the game got interesting. I also would have expected more from the game. Let's see how this continues. IMHO the Germans have no chance against Spain for example. There was nothing to see from the nice football that we saw in the WM from the German team.

WOW this is really a nice handheld! I love Splatterhouse. Finished it two weeks ago on the FM Towns :)

IMHO this is a classic! The story is fantastic and the game is great fun.

I love the artwork of your game! Great find and thanks for sharing.

Wow indeed, that is a huge project.

I would try to look at the Mame drivers and how they get this thing to work. Someone must have started to reverse engineer the game in order to write the driver. The information gathered there might be useful. You must first understand how the scenarios are modeled in Starblade in order to get your tool to work. There the Mame driver could be useful, but must noch necessarily. Just find a way to read the data off the roms and visualize them in the first place. The animation and stuff is done using the game engine, which will be a lot harder to reverse engineer as this is coded in the roms.

Yeah the X68000 is really a great system. A friend of mine has at least on of these and a lot of games. The arcade conversions are really impressive and there are IMHO some of the best ports around on this box.

My personal favourite game for this machine is Cho Ren Sha. Check it out, it's really impressive what this machine is capable of:

This game was a giveaway if I remember correctly. And you should definitely check out Nemesis '90 Kai, one of the best games in that series:

The friend of mine knows a lot about that machine. He even has a Mo-Drive conneted to it, so that he can play games off that drive. He has a german webpage about this and other machines: http://japan-retro.de/

I love this machine!

WOW, this really looks amazing! Fantastic work. It's always good to see a machine with such a history alive and being cared of. Thanks for sharing!
I like the artwork. At first I also thought that i don't like the marquee but actually it fits very nicely with the CP and the Bezel.

You don't need to register there. You can't bid, because the japanese people only trade with other japanese people. I don't know what's the problem there, but you have to use a proxy-bidder. That's a guy located in Japan that bids for you, pays the seller, receives the packet and sends it to you. Just look through the auctions and you will hopefully find something. I think a permanent search or something is quite difficult to install as everything is in japanese.
You need the japanese name of the game to find something useful there. You'll find most of these in the english wikipedia. Space Firebird for example is スペース ファイアーバード
If you enter this, you'll find two flyers or something:

Ully,

Look on Yahoo Japan auctions, I wouldn't be surprised if an original marquee turns up

If you plan on doing so, a friend of mine has conducted a guide on how to shop on yahoo.jp. It is about Japanese Home Computers, but he tells a lot about proxy bidders and how it has to be shipped, etc. The procedure is the same for arcade stuff :) It's in german an can be found here: http://www.nexgam.de/import-guides/Games-von-Yahoo-Japan-ordern.html
Maybe this is helpful. It's from our friend Uroko Sakanabito, you might know him from the german arcade boards.

WOW!!!! Congrats Ully! This is a top score. I'm really really glad that you got those two cabs. I had already given up hope that the SF could be saved. You made my day!  :spaceace:  :spaceace:  :spaceace:

Can't wait to see your fully restored Nintendo Row!

I am waiting for the first guy to say: "get rid of the benches and table, it's a waste of space where you can put cabs"..................... ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Haha that already started in the german boards :D

Once again: very nice work! Can't wait to see it finished!
