Good job, looks like the cabinet is in overall ok condition!

Now who of you Rolling Thunder owners is the best player? lets see some hiscores posted  Cheesy

Well...... I hold the World Record on MAME with a score of 1,023,380....

EDIT: I see you know it's actually Jamma and was actually enquiring about the wires feeding into the adapter board. So disregard this post:

The connector on a standard Atari Ireland Rolling Thunder is Jamma standard. In your 4th picture you can see "JAMMA" silkscreened onto the board.

It doesn't have the -5V connected if you try and put a different board in there that requires it.

Wow, $1,000 for just the cel!

The background is a basic copy.

I posted my collection in a thread a while back: http://www.dragonslairfans.com/smfor/index.php?topic=1325.0

The was a cabinet (without PCB) on Jamma+ a couple of years ago, that did not sell at all.

Started at a sensible price, then dropped to 50, the was free and still no takers. Eventually got smashed up  shock

We do!

We recently got back from Florida and loved it.

Following in the footsteps of my recent video of the day compilation, here is what we got up to:

For you poor YouTubers who can't see copyrighted material, here's the dropbox service:

Hope you enjoy!

Your video reminded me to enjoy the good times of our life. Enjoy it when you and the ones you love are healthy and doing well.

So glad you enjoyed it Grin

I've shown it to many friends and people at work and it has inspired quite a few people to do the same (whether they last a year will remain to be seen). But the message I get back from nearly all of them is exactly what you are saying, essentially, enjoy the good times, you don't realise how many there are!

My kids love it! Probably because they are the stars of the video but we have watched it at least once a day since I finished it lol.

We are off to Florida soon and I was thinking about doing a similar video encapsulating the whole trip in 1.5 second snippets. Hmmmm, need another couple of good audio tracks.....

Here you go Superully. I've shoved it on dropbox, see if you can get to this:

Directly clicking on "play" from that link it's a bit grainy and jumps alot on my machine. May want to download it first.

Regarding the video, woow, just woow!!!  Smiley

I don't frequent here as much as I used to, but thought I'd share my 2012/2013 with you guys as I know you all like a documented event!

Back in 2012 I saw someone had done a whole year of their life in video snippets. I decided to do the same, so, starting a bit late (Feb 23rd) I started.

This is my 2012, and a bit of 2013, in video clips.

Thought some of you might enjoy. It certainly brings a smile to my face Smiley

See if you can spot all the video games I slipped in there.

Is it possible to embed a YouTube video on here?

Still not sure what to think about the 8043. The remote control kicks ass, but the scoops and the linear actuators kind of make it hit and miss. They had to figure out remote controlled pneumatics with double-length cylinders! So IMO it's in the shadow of the Unimog, my king of the Technic hill, others say the 8043 is the best ever.

I enjoyed putting the 8043 excavator together more than the Unimog and enjoy messing about with it more. Funnily enough I prefer the linear actuators rather than the pneumatics. With the pneumatics everything is too jerky, the crane drops way to fast unless you get the controls perfect which requires totally small precise movements of the controls. When my kids have a play with it there is no chance of that happening Smiley

The other thing with the Unimog is they went to all the trouble of getting the tranmission and engine pistons working when you push it along but no remote control to move it around like with the 8043.

It just does not look right, wrong colour (yellow) and again.... that fugly scoop.... I miss the quality scoops from the past. Same with the new 42009 crane... That one is not right either. Give me the first telescope crane you showed.

haha, I put together all my old technic sets with my son, photographed them and then sold them on EBay. 1 fella bought the lot, got over 160 for those 3 sets Smiley
14  General Chat / Dragon's Lair / Space Ace / Streaming Dragon's Lair Cartoons on: April 23, 2014, 11:59:12 AM
Found this site which streams a bunch of older cartoon series. Amongst which are the animated Dragon's Lair one (I know you can download them from the front page too...)

Might be of interest for the nostalgic and ones with little ones. My daughter loves the old Scooby Dos.

Cool! My kids are quite into Lego at the moment.

So I popped round my parents house and up in the loft managed to find my first Technic sets which I promptly put together:

Set 855, Mobile Crane:

Set 857, Motorcycle:

Set 8660, Car Chassis:

I was also bought a couple of newer sets by my wife recently and she also got me the LEGO Technic Unimog U400 - 8110 (as shown above) and the Excavator (8043):

Lego is such a cool toy and invention!
