Ah, interesting! Never seen that version before, it's really a nice catch! :spaceace:

Super Sprint was also distributed in Europe with both 20" or 25" monitors, if i remember correctly  :pac:

I sent an email to staff2012[at]arcade-museum[dot]com but no answer.

Anyhow, it was not a critique to KLOV so it was not necessary to "repeat yourself (once more)"  ;D

Voltages are good: 4.8V instead of 5.0 MAY make a diference, but you should at least see something on the screen (garbage or a resetting screen).

Check that your video signal cables have continuity to the monitor connector.

The monitor works, even if you can see some raster problem (probably "screen", generally modified by the lower pot on the flyback, is set too high).

Nice, it would be a deram having a place like that here in Italy ...

Out of curiosity, is the offroad cabinet original or a modified super sprint cab? It looks very different from the "common" cab

In case you dont believe in my "high" score, here is a pic of what i scored yesterday

Ah, i almost forgot: difficulty hard, bootleg PCB, bootleg cabinet  ;D

52
It definitely must be the same manufacturer! Who knows, maybe this cabs will be inserted in KLOV one day

53
Yes, i would start by measuring the volages to the board first

Wow

I will upload my hiscore soon, but my scores are generally 1/10 of yours   :)

 ;D

well, one week ago popped up this cabinet close to my place: the price became nice after a tight negotiation and the machine was close enought to be took up even if not a grail for me (I am more a post '83 guy  ;D)

i suppose this was the laziest roadtrip ever - 35 km  ;D ... lazy roadtrip, lazy driver, lazy topic: here are some pics of the machine after a lazy cleaning... just to keep you posted about the existence of such particular centipede bootleg dudes  ;)

Sidearts: generic silkscreened arts

"Millepiedi": i suppose they called this "millepiedi" and not "centipiedi" because "centipiedi" sounds somehow weird ... or maybe a perception of the future?!  :o :D

Yes, the control is a stick: i thought this game was unplayable with a stick but i must say that i was wrong. In addition, the MAME reports the stick as an alternate factory supported control (in the original PCB, a couple of sticks have their own pins to input the 4 directions). They never used those pins in a licensed cab, but made the bootlegger life more easy i suppose...  :)

Monitor: a 17 inches MTC900

PCB: it's a very common centipede bootleg

Less than 3000 plays on this

Unfortunately, i found no info inside the cab to identify it's producer... up to my mind i have just seen generic cabs like this, but i will be more shrewd in the future with this, now more familiar, shape.

Guys, how are your difficulty DIP set to? There's a big difference from "easy" (default) to "hard" (the two only options available)

Very likely the CMOS needs to be replaced. Unfortunately the chip is soldered directly to the board ... place a socket for future maintenance  ;)

What about the battery? Have you properly installed it?

Nice catch! very clean inside.

This is the second time i see that "transparent" monitor plastic cover: the first time was when i opened my euro joust some year ago  :D

The jamma standard have not analog inputs in its pinout: it's very likely that every "jamma" racing game have analog inputs (steer, pedals) connected in different positions on the connector or have an additional connector ;)

Thanks Bruno for sharing: i was asking myself how the new lair came out and i must say it is worth the efforts you afforded for that!

I like the fact that you placed machines from every era in there, without tipical "purists" fixations  ;)

Hey, G-Loc is still a work in progress?
