I just got the Popeye PCB home a few days ago. I need more space to get complete games. Lovely pictures.

Which monitor your machine is equipped with? I hope you are more lucky than me (mine is a "never-had-spare parts" Zenith WG  :'()

it's a med-res monitor, but i don't know the exact details, because i've only got one key for the machine - but there are three locks. unfortunately, thos one key only opens the coin box door, not the door to the coin mechs and even worse not the back door. i have no idea what's inside that cabinet, but i expect a lot of dirt because the whole machine is damn dirty.

does anyone have a piece of advice on how to get those tubular locks open properly?

Someone showed me this a while ago: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RLLRb-Jfrd8

what happened to this one? did you do any work on the cab?

No, most of the time I just want to get the games home. I rarely play or work with them, Just keep them around to fill out space.

But I like to have the games around, then when I get rich I can play with them and fix them up. Now days to much time is spent working. But now and then and a few weeks of vacation makes small things happen.

Still could use more space for games. Will have to force myself to get the gameroom ready.

Burgertime, I'd lift that of your hands anytime, I'll drive down there and pick it up and take pictures of the trip if that's what's needed!

That's no Radical Bikers, I have the PCB (and a cage and some other heavy stuff) but not cabb. Maybe we could work something out?

That is a nice Pizza delivery game. I'd sure like to have the cabb to put my game into.

Word! here in Sweden is that it's one of the heaviest games to hurl around.. :!:

Arcade Lifestyle / Shortest road trip evar!!
« on: January 10, 2010, 12:56:53 AM »
let me start with saying sorry for horrible pictures (from my iPhone).

But today I went on what must have been the shortest road trip!

it went like this, slept in late. Got a message from the seller on facebook that the game was on it's way. Got dressed, had coffee for breakfast, surfed the web, read some, shuffled the games close to the door around a bit, so that they where in the correct order (like a tower of Hanoi thing). then just waited around the apartment.

Then the phone rang to let me know that they where here. Took the elevator down and helped them unload my Atari 1988 Tetris and some marquees, some t-shirts (Swedish National Arcade collectors association, ARF - http://arf.arkadtorget.se/), key holders for my puckman game and huge Namco/Starblade controller thingy and a remake CPO (edit: Not Namco/Starblade).

In return I handed over my Afterburner (upright, http://www.klov.com/game_detail.php?game_id=6821) with a bad monitor (everything else working, and gem to coin up to listen to the noise and see the Lock-On and red head lights flash - but since the monitor was dead, it's better of with someone who can love it, more importantly fix it).

And that was that. I just stayed at home and got a working game (and goodies) in exchange for a game with a dead monitor. Today have been a great day.

(seller of Tetris was not the same guy that bought afterburner, he just traveled by my tetris with an empty car and I saw a great opportunity).

The game:
Tetris

The Marquees:
Marquees

Total distance: 0 Km, just up and down 5 floors with the elevator.  ;D

So you remove the PCB and the "side" that it's mounted on? That is one of the best ideas evvar!
