Dragon's Lair / Space Ace / LD cable
« on: November 19, 2022, 11:08:23 PM »
Does anyone know the part number for the D connector for the ribbon cable (actually if you have part number for the connector at the board that would be great).

A cabinet came into my possession and this cable is missing. :(

Hi,

Looking for an overlay or even if someone has the artwork scanned/vectored/etc.

Can anyone point me in a direction? Everything I have seen so far is the US version. :(

Thanks

Ok, coming in from left field - just wondering if these are still readily available over in Europe?

They seem to be really hard to find here in Canada for some reason... :(

'Business' Area : Buy/Sell/Trade / WTB: part for a pinball
« on: September 04, 2012, 08:33:12 PM »
Ok, thought I would ask here and maybe someone can point me in the right direction of have one:

This is for a 1965 Gottlieb Dodge City pinball, for some reason this unit seems way more popular in Europe than in North America.

Looking for the 'animated' cowboy in the back box display. The one that I am restoring is missing his feet and is fairly rough shape and if I can replace it that would be great, otherwise I will have to go with plan B.

Thanks for your attention.  ;D

Note: I do have an ad on Mr. Pinball, just no response yet and not sure just how often anyone really looks there (other than the scam artists that all seem to live in England - no offense to anyone living there).

Ok, I picked 1 of these cabaret up the other day but the artwork is in a sad state and needs replacing, so I thought I would ask here if anyone has/can scan the sides or maybe supply some hi-res pictures?

Or if anyone knows where some artwork already exists (or ready to buy), that would also help. ;)

Thanks,

Probably going to take a bath on the shipping, but don't seem to be having any luck in locating anyone that has one for sale in NA.

Let me know if you have one you are willing to part with and we can go from there.

Thanks,

Dragon's Lair / Space Ace / Cinematronics DL with WG monitor question
« on: August 17, 2011, 03:02:23 PM »
Hi, ok my Dragon's Lair came with the Well Gardner 49xx monitor and I can't seem to find any info on how to hook up the NTSC card for this monitor. Now the RGB (plug P203) output seems self explanitory, but where does the power connections for the card connect to (ie. P204 plug)? Do I make the connections to the monitor board or someplace else (pictures would be nice). ;)

Thank you for any info.

Cheers,

Does anyone have a hi-res scan of this (or willing to sell one - will take the whole panel if need be)?

I have a repro, but the quality seems to be somewhat amiss. :(

Dragon's Lair / Space Ace / Help with Dragon's Lair control panel?
« on: April 11, 2011, 01:29:59 AM »
Ok, in the process of restoring my cabinet I have noticed that the control panel has been bent somwhat so that when you are looking at the end it kind of has a bit of a twist to it.

I was wondering if someone was able to measure their panel for the correct angles so I can return mine back to it's proper shape.

From the bottom 'hinge' point, the first bend looks like it should be a 90° bend as both side on mine are the same, the next 2 bends seem to be where the problem is.

Left side I am getting : 108° and then 155°
Right side: 106° and then 154°

Angles are mesaured from the one closet to the operator, before the joystick and then the one after the joystick travelling away from the operator.

ANY help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Dragon's Lair / Space Ace / Newbie DL cabinet questions...
« on: March 19, 2011, 03:59:15 PM »
Hi,

Ok, finally found a Dragon`s Lair cabinet within a reasonable distance to me, but I am greatly new at this and completely clueless. ???

Now the cabinet has been modified to run Jamma games, but I would like to restore it back to it`s former glory and have a ton of (maybe stupid) questions, so I guess I will start now.

- I have the Wells-Gardner monitor and I know I need a NTSC decoder card - what I would like is a picture of the card and the external controls to see how these are mounted (and location).

- I have read that the audio (and it is common sense) coming of the LD player needs an audio amp - is this a separate unit, or is it par of the main logic board (or some other board) - that is to say do I need to find an audio amp and where is it mounted in the cabinet (pictures)

- actually I really could use specific pictures of the power supply side, rear side and logic board sides of the cabinet.

- does an actual overall wiring diagram for the cabinet exist? I was thinking of building my own harness (unless someone has one for sale) - but it would be nice if there was some sort of over all diagram that shows how the major components connect to each other (ie: coin counter, volume controls). The worest part is that I am starting from square 1 when it comes to the wiring since the harness was changed.  :'(

- and one last question for now, I have been unable to verify from various pictures on the net, but on the control panell, is the upper end held in place with bolts through the sides of the cabinet? I know that the lower `pivots`are, but can`t really tell if the upper part is (currently that is the way mine is and pictures I have seen seem to show differently.

Thank you for any help and your patience...  :)
