'Business' Area : Buy/Sell/Trade / FS: Pole Position sit down
« on: February 17, 2012, 12:36:32 AM »
Hey guys, unfortunately I have to get rid of the following on short notice:

Pole Position sit down, complete, located in Bussum (NL)
Pole Position II upright empty cabinet located in Belgium.

I originally planned to put the PP guts in the PPII cab, but due to other priorities I need to change my plans. Since it's a mather of lack of time and space, i'm open for all kind of offers (trade for otter stuff?), so please make a sort of reasonable offer per PM. No need to make money on it, might even take à hit on the money spend (paid €100 for the upright, €200 for the sitdown)

Cheers,
Barry

All the rest / Arcade Music Top 100
« on: September 29, 2011, 07:30:19 AM »
I don't know about you, but in my opinion every arcade should have some music playing. Now in order to have the right musical wallpaper to fit with our beautiful classics, I thought why not make an Arcade Music Top 100? As times past by, my memory seems to have a pretty big hole in it, so I need all your help!!! Send in your personal favorites, and I will make a list.

Hi Guys,

At the end of the year tombola I was the winner of a Sony PSP. (Un)fortunately there where no games with it...

My question to you: What games could you guys recommend for me?

I thought about Namco Museum, but that is about the only one I thought would be fun. I would really like to hear from the pro's here! :)

Arcade Lifestyle / J-PAC? Where to buy in Europe?
« on: January 10, 2011, 06:26:31 PM »
Hey Guys,

Since a few of the people here use mame as the engine of their arcadecabinets, I was wondering if any of you know a good place in Europe to buy the JPAC interface?

Regards,
Barry

In the case there are some interesting games we might be able to do a group buy or so? And an Armada-Style road trip?

Arcade Lifestyle / My first project... scratch build Dig Dug
« on: May 30, 2010, 09:14:01 PM »
One of the first games I played first, as far as I can remember, was Dig Dug. And since I find it fun to do some DIY why not combine the two? It will not be featuring the original PCB but instead I will put in the 60-in-1. Main reason for this is that I like a lot of the 80's classics but I only have space for a few cabinets. Ordered some stuff at the various places and the waiting begun. After a while (and being ripped of by the Tax Office), most of the goods are in; Marquee, Control Panel, Coin Door and a bunch of small stuff. Bought some MDF, started drawing and cutting. The result so far:

Unfortunately, I forgot to unload my car and my wife took it to go to her mom... So I guess this is it for today. Already cleaned the CP, placed a new stick, and however it might be needing a new CPO I'm fine with it now.

The side art and bezel will be printed here in Holland.

There are still some parts left I'm looking for:
1) A monitor... Any news on the 19"/21"'s?
2) (NOS) Wico centering grommit
3) Bezel retainer
4) Marquee retainer

If any of you guys have something laying araound, drop me a note. Stay tuned...

Hi Guys,

I'm looking to buy a few Switched Power Supplies for my upcoming projects. I know I can order them in the US or Asia, but I was wondering if anyone of the Dutchies here knows a place in Holland where they are sold. If not, maybe we can team up to buy a bunch in the US and save a bit on pricing and shipping. Just let me know your thoughts about this.

Regards,
Barry

Arcade Lifestyle / Thickness of Dig Dug sidepanels
« on: April 20, 2010, 08:28:22 AM »
Morning y'all,

In order to be a replica of the master of scratch build replica's  :D I'm planning to build a Dig Dug cabinet. I got most of the parts right ordered and underway, but now I need to know what thickness the sidepanels are. Is there anyone around here with some spare time left to take the measurement on his cabinet?

Thanks in advance!

Barry

All the rest / Hello world
« on: March 23, 2010, 06:53:03 PM »
Hi There!

New on the forum so I just thought why not say hello to y'all!

The name is Barry, and I live in Almere, the Netherlands. I like 80's music, 80's movies, 80's games (duh...) and 80's wifes  ;). Not having my own arcade machines right now, but seeing DarthNuno, Level42 and others having/building their own gameroom and Scr33n building his own originals awakened my craving :)

Anyway, hope to own some machines myself in a short time!

When I was searching for some nice cabinets I found these pretty decent looking original Universal Cocktail and a (what seems to be a less looking) Zaccaria Galaxia. Thought maybe one of you guys may like it. http://link.marktplaats.nl/332421486
