Arcade Lifestyle / Apple Time cabs
« on: March 04, 2016, 03:24:31 PM »
Hi there,

I was wondering if anyone knew much about Apple Time, which as far as I can tell were an Italian manufacturer?
I have a Moon Shuttle cab like the one on KLOV in reasonable condition, and fully working. I'm going to do some restoration work on it... maybe improve its looks! It has an original Nichibutsu PCB and Hantarex monitor in.
The glass is flaking, but looks like a generic image they used on other cabs, and the marquee is broken too.
It's one of those wraparound styles like on Zac cabs. I was thinking of getting one printed up and fitting retainers to convert it to the normal flat style.
It also had one of those awful spikes for a joystick, now a more comfortable red ball top.  ;D
I'll get some pics up over the next few days if anyone's interested.
I'd be very interested to see some pics of other AppleTime cabs on here!

Cheers

Hiya fellow arcade geeks!

Just thought I'd make a proper introduction, having just posted on Scr33n's fantastic Tempest scratch build thread  :)

Been checking this site out for a while now, many interesting posts on here, I can't believe the dedication some of you guys have! Trecking for miles to get your beloved games, doing the most incredible restorations, and as mentioned actually building your own from zero!

I'm in the UK, was around in the classic late 70s / early 80's boom (born in 1970) so of course I have a passion for the classics  ;)

Currently I have a Gorf, Berzerk, Pacman, Qix, Joust, Moon Shuttle, Moon Cresta, Tempest and Defender cabs all full size originals.  :)

I also have a Taito classic shaped Jamma cab, and a Nintendo PC10 cab which houses my PC  ;D

Tons of PCBs too, but these will probably go at some point!

Anyhoo, that's me for now!

Cheers

Jase
