Crazy Roadtrip !

Just in case, I may have, if my memory is correct, a japanese full plastic glass for the taito Space Invaders, in Spare.
Maybe it can help the guy who had taken the broken one.

Amazing to see the protective case on the glass of the Centipede too !

All best

Hello,
Sometimes you need to sell things you don't want to sell :(
Ok, here it is, a Leland release.
It is in working condition, but after numerous minuts, the laserdisc player freeze for an unknown reason. maybe need to change the player or just clean it. it also doesn't open the Laserdisc.

The sale include :
- the DL II Leland version cabinet
- panel + marquee from Dragon's Lair II
- CPO + Marquee from Space Ace
- Space ace 91 Laserdisc + the Rom ( never tested)

CPO is in perfect shape, like new, because there were a great protection on it. One of the 2 wheels is missing. One corner was damaged and I took great care to repair it, and lot of time. New T-Molding had been installed. I posted some picture of the restoration there years ago but most of pictures are missing unfortunately.

Overall condition is very nice as you can see. Cabinet must be picked up in 74700 zip code,  France. Huge and heavy piece, be ware of that.

Price : 1500 Euros ( not really sure about the price too many year away from any forum etc blabla). Don't hesitate to do an offer if you feel it.

The corner before restoration :

Warning, the corner is right now restored ( pictures above).

thanks in advance to contact me by private message.

You vote what you wanna break, and they do it.
Just ask for a Computer Space, they'll do it

Dragon's Lair / Space Ace / Dragon's Lair II : a decent restoration!

The semi-finished product. I'll certainly in the near future repaint the kickplate + clearcoat it, and change the big T-molding of the CPO.
Touchups had been done on the 2 art sides.
Corners had been repaired/repainted, new T-Molding, all cleaning, new paint of the upper side / back of the cab.

I re-built the DL II this morning, and found the VIDEO cable at a tuning racing car shop lol...

So it isssssss workingggggg! ( hard to play with one hand..)

The problems still to solved are :
- the image is pretty.. blury, in the sens it is " shaking". Is it normal?
- I still cannot put off the DL II LD. I'd like to have a try at Space Ace to see it's working properly, but no eject...

Any help?
Maybe I can send the LD player to a local repair man...

Dragon's Lair / Space Ace / Dragon's Lair II : a decent restoration!
« on: July 01, 2007, 10:49:25 PM »
Hello Darth,
In fact I carried this cabinet in 2 times, one with the parts, and one with the wood base. and during the second part package, I can't find that fucking video cable...
I'll buy one this week. I repaired the wood and the side arts, will take pictures tomorrow of the cabinet. I still need to find some new T-Molding, and new Plexi for the CPO.

The version is a USA/Leland, with impression quality of manufacturing...

PART I :

I disassembled everything (no picture)

PART II : First Side Art + Back Restoration

I have a big hole in the back of the cabinet, with a lack of one of the 2 wheels+ steel system.(if anyone has one in spare, we can dream!).

II/1/ Fix the detached wood parts.
For this, I used a little syringe to put the wood-stick between the 2 parts

II/2/ Rebuild the hole
For this, I used synthetic wood. Pretty hard thing and boring thing for me.

At that moment, I did 2 mistakes :
- I tried to repair the 2 wood parts
- I didn't take off the black vynil on the areas.

After 2 hours, I suceeded to put off this sh***t, and finally redid back some of the work.

After that, I took off the 2 wood parts, and redid it with some wood

Let's do some Paint!

Result :

Stay tuned( copyright Nuno)

Dragon's Lair / Space Ace / Dragon's Lair II : a decent restoration!
« on: June 18, 2007, 08:03:50 PM »
Hello guys,

I'm new on the boards, but met a little bit Nuno on the french gamoover forum, and asked him a little bit about the DL cabinets before buying it.

I recently bought a Dragon's Lair II cabinet with a Space Ace 91' kit in very good shape, but the cabinet is not working properly, I have a fix picture when I put it on.

So I'll share on this topic the progress of this hard task :)
