What do you mean with free? The winning bid is $200.  Huh?
I got the unit free, the ebay and newegg links were for reference.

Technical Area / Would This Suffice As A Good MAME PC?
« on: December 09, 2014, 05:08:22 PM »
Hey everyone,  need some input,  I got a hold of of one of these:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Aopen-DEX4501-91-DE201-I520-C2D-Mobile-P9500-2-53-GHz-4GB-/141021763871
and was wondering if would make a good MAME unit.

All it has is DVI and HDMI connectors, so I would need to get an adaptor to hook it to an Arcade Monitor.
Thoughts?

Technical Area / How much vinyl do I need?
« on: November 05, 2014, 02:22:23 AM »
Hey everyone got a question.  Sorry if this is the wrong place for it.
I am finally getting back to finishing my Space Ace cabinet-finally after 3 years  :'(  Can someone tell me how much vinyl I need to get?  and the best/cheapest place to get it (US Preferred.) on a Strict budget.

I need to cover the sides, Front, and the inside over the monitor area.  I'm sure I can get away with painting the top and the back.
Thanks.

Technical Area / Re: MacVision Problem

Thanks I will Definitely disable this "feature"  Any Ideas on the Black screen?  and the rapid flickering.  I tested it again yesterday and sure enough,  You can boot the computer up, go into windows and load MALA up fine, when you start a game it goes haywire.

Technical Area / MacVision Problem
« on: May 25, 2012, 03:14:39 PM »
Can someone help me with a problem here.  I have a HP DC7700 Small profile with the native Video Running Xp.  I used quick res to drop the resolution to 640x480x32 and 640x480x16.  I attach the Monitor and boot up looks great MAME/MALA loaded on it great..
Here is the problem.
Yesterday my nephews were playing the game and intermittently the orientation would switch to vertical then back to horizontal,  this went on for several times.  I Dropped out of mame and when I went back the screen blacked and I heard this rapid click/ like it didn't now what mode to be in.  Thoughts?
