Galaxian Theater / Re: ## Road Trip ## GALAXIAN THEATER from NAMCO !!!
« on: August 11, 2019, 01:09:18 PM »
Every time I look at the AgraGames website, the opening date keeps changing. Now August 2020?
I just hope one day (soon) to play Galaxian Theater (and R360...), I was already out of the arcade scene when they arrived first time around.

Not this year, no.

A couple of family priorities came up unexpectedly which have taken up a lot of my time, and the little spare time I did have - has been taken up by taking over the "left-overs" of Rastermania's stock  . I need to get through that lot, do what needs to be done to get them into whatever shape is appropriate and back into the community/wider public. almost nothing exceptional in there - as expected most of the "good stuff" had  already sold

I'm not giving up on the BEercade idea however!

Well, if anyone knows friendly owners of a micro-brewery?

By hazard, I can probably get one of the biggest hotels in Belgium - but I don't want that!

It's Belgium. It's got to be in a brewery, or a Monastic beer temple...

So far I have a few of the die-hard Brits who say they’d come over.

Probably a smart move I talk with L42 myself, it’s been a long time I’ve not set up an event...

We need a meet in Belgium.

I know I'm not a core member of the DLF crew, but WFT.

Round about Carnaval 2019, my plan is we have:

1. A microbrewery
2. A bunch of pins
3. A bunch of cabs
4. A bunch of consoles
5. Some modern VR kit
6. Cheap accommodation close by

The idea isn't a Eurocade. It's something different.
It's to kick off a regular meet of European "arcade lifestyle" enthusiasts.  Absolutely, it's the same folk on here, and on the UK forums. It's also for those who just want to turn up and play a bit with old cabs, or have an excuse to do something different.

I'm a no profit guy - the event will be set up as such.

This is happening. I don't want bad feeling or whatever from the elder members here. I'm a collector and die-hard enthusiast who has zero interest in making money from the arcade scene. Times are getting "interesting" though, and if we (serious collectors) don't do things to keep the community alive, we'll lose to the HyperSpin and rip/flip lot.

50/50 chance I do.
If I don’t, I know 2 friends who probably do.

I’ll check over the weekend.

If I forget, ping me - I have to work about 20 hours this weekend on top of my usual week.

A Tron, nice :)
It’s also on my grail list, but I only have space for 5 cabs....and Asteroids will make it number 6

I presume the container will arrive directly in Italy?

I know it's got rather quiet here lately, but I have an Asteroids I've bought from CoinOp Warehouse.
Does anyone know of a container coming over?

Cheers for the advice.
I see SNCB/NMBS or ex-Belgacom property all over the place lying empty that would be killer "private arcades".
I have zero interest in getting something like the UK "ArcadeClub" up and running, but I'm definitely not the only one around here who would appreciate a "space".

Not being a "real" Belgian I have zero idea how to approach Communes or letting agencies :(

One example - there is a lovely old "signal house" at the train station of Sint-Genesius-Rode. Not huge, probably 150m2. You can't get easier to get to by train, plus plenty of free parking - but it's just lying empty. 2km up the road is an "entrepôts" from Belgacom of about 1500m2 lying empty...

...yet I'm playing tetris with my tiny garage :(

I know some of you guys had/have rented "space" to either store or even store and play your cabs.
What sort of price would I be paying per square metre for a small unit with power?

It's not just for me - but a flipper mate of mine also. He has about 15 pinballs across various friends and relatives.

Somewhere south(ish) of Brussels.

I've been looking on Immoweb, VLAN and 2ememain - and I don't see much.

A friend has a ZZZ Scramble, if you need photos or measurements for a repro.

I've never let (lack of) language bother me getting a cab :)

If I had the space, I'd go for it - but I'm already a dead man walking for buying my last cab that hasn't quite made it home yet...

Lol - funniest thing I've seen for a while!

One did mention who you were though.

I bet some who replied live in Florida or similar, with rH about 90%...but are freaking out about a quick rinse and rub down.

I'd be tempted to reply that as the cab was built in Ireland (where it rains 364 days a year, the 1 day it doesn't they call it "summer"), that it's built to be waterproof.

Plaides is probably worth saving at the price.

I'm not a fan of the game at all - but it's kinda rare....

Royal Video cabs, with a working screen, are worth at least 200 euros.
If anyone wants to sell me theirs for 30 euro, feel free!
