Did you remember this picture  ::)

(see the story right here (https://www.dragonslairfans.com/smfor/index.php?topic=751.0)  ;) ;D)

YES !!! This is finally happens  :-*

Ok... here's the plot  :) :

Friday 8th of may 2009 :

This time, it's not gonna be a HUGE road trip... because I'm not very far from Paris  :-* Anyway, as usual, I'll have to calculate some stats  ;D

Back to root... Darth Nunette will be a part of the story  :-* She was living in Paris before we meet each other.
This road trip is more than a road trip, so let's say it's gonna be a week end in Paris *features* a road trip  ;D 8)

On the road, here's Woinic, the biggest wild boar (razorback) in the world (14 meters long!)

... nothing special on the road... we are very close to Paris now... wanna meet Mickey by the way?  ::)

Arriving in Paris... on its famous "boulevard périphérique" : it's a road that allow the cars to make a ring around the city, on its external border...

It's a little bit early for the meeting with the seller, so let's go inside Paris... it's time to eat ... let's go inside our favorite area : "Le treizième arrondissement" or "China Town"... Japanese food  :-* :-* :-*

Note : Because it's a road trip about 'Voltaire'... I've the permission to put some French words here & there  ::) :P :D

Ok, let's go to the seller now... I set my nav car system... and it decides to make us drive in the heart of Paris... why not  8)

Hey? What's this?!!!  :P

Opsss... sorry Honey... I just want a picture of the "L'Arche de Triomphe"  ::) ;D

This is "La Defense"

Ok... we are very close from the seller now ... one more castle and...

...here we are  :)

The seller is extremely nice & kind... he explain me everything on this pinball  8) Everything has been cleaned recently.... see  :-*

I'm very happy to finally find the BEST pinball I've ever see & play... I'm in love with this Cirqus Voltaire  :-*

Let's load this baby now  :-*

Well... loading pinballs is not something I'm familiar with... Let's think first ... how to put a pinball into a car  ::) :P

Fortunately, the seller is THE man for this ...

Now, the worst part... money !!! I prefer not to do this, and I ask my wife to do it for me  :P ;D

Did you notice on the car? I love road trips ... always good surprises  :-*

Deal done now  :-*

Because this is not only a road trip, we are not going home now... let's go now to the Nunette's family house... but what to do with this valuable pinball inside my car during the week end in Paris ? Let's cover it at least...

Saturday... :

Wake up in Paris  :)

Impossible to get my car, because of the pinball inside  :? so let's take the car of the wife's family  ::) 8)

OK, it's time to meet a 'DLF' member 'Remi 75', in the shop where he's working with two associates... let's go to NEO LEGEND

HOO

I' ve seen Remy shop and found most the items I bought in Japan in years:

The Sega version (with gold border near the remote sensor) of the Lasercactive pioneer cld-a100 with the Sega pac (but not the Nec.. I bought that too in 2004!!.. but got broke to have it )

Buy Triad stone buddy and Vajira 2 (but need the Nec module)

Most Lasergames I collected between Lasercative and Palcom are great: the last one,

Esh's Aurunmilla!

The Ld of Akira normal version (I've got the Jap limited + criterion US version)

The firsts japanese super guns (from Mak Japan and Time Machine)

The Jap cabs: one of my passions (I've have collected the 1st model of all of them: Sega 26" Aero city)

Original SANWA Buttons (used in Sega Cab's)

Original Neo Geo Jap cart (they are usualy transparent and in different colors changing from the mono black carts of europe and US)

Then it's clear remy is Japan addicted as I do

So KEEP IT UP buddy!!

Mav

Ps= Remy do you remind the cable ??

Waiting to see to buy a Sega blast city from you but for a good price..  remember

Now, let's fix few problems.

Here's the list :

1. Most of the time, the specific green neon doesn't power up. And when it does, it looks like this  :-\

2. The general illumination doesn't work in the low/right area of the pinball.

3. The left slingshot doesn't work.

Ok, back from USA with a brand new neon tube (see this topic (https://www.dragonslairfans.com/smfor/index.php?topic=806.0)) :

...yes, still in one piece after a such 'Air Trip'  :D

OK, I'll also put a brand new transformer (the previous owner of this pinball told me to replace the neon and transformer together). The new one is on the left

The main part of the new neon has the same size and shape than the original one, but the extremity is a little bit longer : a little bit more of glass

Fortunately, it's not a problem... it fits the plastic ramp  8) Ok, power on

YES! It works fine... and it glows like a powerful light saber  :D  :-* :-* :-*

                                  VINCENT
You'll dig it the most.  But you
know what the funniest thing about
                       Europe is?

                                  JULES
                       What?

                                  VINCENT
                       It's the little differences.  A
lotta the same shit we got here,
they got there, but there they're a
                       little different.

                                  JULES
                       Examples?

                                  VINCENT
Well, in Amsterdam, you can buy
beer in a movie theatre.  And I
don't mean in a paper cup either.
They give you a glass of beer, like
in a bar.  In Paris, you can buy
                       beer at MacDonald's.  Also, you
know what they call a Quarter
                       Pounder with Cheese in Paris?

                                  JULES
They don't call it a Quarter
                       Pounder with Cheese?

                                  VINCENT
No, they got the metric system
there, they wouldn't know what the
                       fuck a Quarter Pounder is.

                                  JULES
                       What'd they call it?

                                  VINCENT
                       Royale with Cheese.

                                  JULES
                            (repeating)
                       Royale with Cheese.  What'd they
                       call a Big Mac?

                                  VINCENT
Big Mac's a Big Mac, but they call
                       it Le Big Mac.

 ;D

...and because the 'metric system', I was so bored to have troubles while removing US screws [done in the US metric system], I bring back this from my USA trip  8)

Life will be more easier now  :P  ;D

OK the neon problem is fixed, now let's investigate about the General Illumination problem on the low/right part of the playfield .
