I'd LOVE to get my hands on a scan of this:
I'd then like to create the artwork and have it applied to a machine to see how it looks ;D

Jason Finn owns that, unless he sold it, which I very much doubt!
Send him a PM. He may be able to help you out, he's a really helpful chap.

yeah I know. I've been waiting on Jas to scan up the artwork for DL #1 :P
I'd like to see ths so I could 'colour' it up and see what it could of looked like.
(Mr Finn, when is the Euro Meet ???? lol)

With all the work going on in the lair, most of the stuff is covered/packed until the Lair extention is finished, I have been there twice in the last 4 Months, hopefully the Euromeet will happen, and then we can get everything scanned that you want my friend. I have been so busy it has been a joke.
Hope all are well
regards

No probs Jason :D
Just make sure you give me enough lead time for the euro-meet so I can organise some time off work to come ;D
Take care bud.

Hi,
That artwork by the looks of things was for the Cosmic Chasm style cabinet (this cabinet came out before DL and was what DL was based on).

I don't know if it would look right without the inner bezel!
-
Wow... I've never seen a Cosmic Chasm Cinematronics cabinet
Very beautiful :-*
Yes, maybe the Inner Bezel 'proto' artwork was made for this?
-
cosmic chasm is one of my favourite games, if not THE favourite game, on vectrex! having an original dedicated cab would be a dream come true!!!
-
I'll sell you mine for 5000E

fiveTHOUSAND euros  are you sure that you didn't accidently type one ZERO too much?
-
No, Cosmic Chasm machines are very rare and sell in the $4500 USD range for a nice working machine with full art.
A working pcb will fetch $600-1000 USD.

good luck in selling it then. i would NEVER pay that much for a box made out of wood with a 30-years-old game in it ;D UNLESS you had to call me Bill Gates ;)
so if you decide to sell it one day for less, i'm the man to ask!
-
No Ully,
The price asked is in range with the actual quotation of the game
I don't like the game itself (neither I'm interested in having it in my collection - I'm on laser games and japan staff)
but I know quite well the commercial cost of the arcade games inside and outside Europe especially vintage games like Cosmic Chasm
I would say it is becoming like "esoteric" in its sector as on Laser is Freedom force
Very few machines are still available as it is very rare owners decide even to sell it
Then of course it is up to the finances and the will of the single person to buy an arcade game like that.. (high cost rare vintage arcade game)

@mav: i never said that alpha was crazy when he was asking that much for the game, i only said that i'd never pay that much. after all, i can play it on my vectrex ;D and IF alpha wanted to get rid off it, i'd take it ;)
let's not start a price police discussion here - and if i offended alpha1, i'm sorry for doing so! :-*
-
My man Ully,
the comment was just for the effective quotation of the game
not refering to my german friend ;)
Neither I would spend for Chasm so much (I would spend maybe for esh or freedom force at least)
