Does somebody know where I can get the complete season of the DL cartoons on dvd or vhs?? :?
Any info would be great :D
Thanks...

I have all the episodes on ntsc vhs tapes. I even bought an USA tape player on ebay US to watch them
My idea is to digitalize them and make them available for download 8)
I also have Space Ace cartoons
So stay tuned  :P

Will you allow some of us to purchase these copied onto a DVD, especially if we pay for shipping and materials?

Hi Stormyblade,
At the moment, I still not have time to convert the NTSC tapes to DVD
I'll do it once I'll get more time, and of course, I'll make the files available on this website or send directly DVD on request 8)
Hope to see you around

Hey guys,
I'm a video editor by profession and I'd like to offer my services :D
I could also make them PAL or keep them NTSC and if you supply material I could add in easter eggs and special features on the DVD.
All I'm after are copies of the episodes 8)
Unsure if you know, but I am the one that finished off MY version of Cliff Hanger
See here: http://www.cliffrestored.zoomshare.com/0.html
Let me know as I am happy to help out in anyway :D

Hi Dexter,
I'm currently on work for the Space Ace cartoons digit :)
As I said, I got from ebay in america a brand new US video tape player, only for playing all the NTSC tapes I have and also an ATI All in Wonder 9800 NTSC version graphic card to digitalyze all of them...
Thanks Dexter for your help anyway :)
My idea is to make all the episodes available here for download. If I have to much trouble to convert them, I'll send to you on DVD the .AVI source files on DVD, and let you arrange all the stuff on DVD ?
I'll let you know asap :)
Thanks also for link this website on your site too
So stay around 8)

No probs, if I can be of ANY help let me know.
I was going to run the footage via a TBC (Time Base Corrector) and colour correct them if needed (as NTSC can be washed out at times) And have them available for download and on DVD. So like I said, let me know if I can help out in anyway :)
As for the link on my site, no probs at all :P Great site and I LOVE the 'Road Trips' that's just a great attraction to the site.Anyway, I'm looking forward to seeing the cartoons, I never got to see Space Ace but I did see a few Dragon's Lair ones (What would you do?)

HI All
THIS IS IT
As you can see, an episode is now available for download :P
As I said, I have all episodes ( also Space Ace, you'll happy Dexter  ), they will be ALL available here soon, I promise.
Here's the story  :
- Got on ebay US ntsc tapes with all DL & SA episodes more than 3 years ago...
- Got on ebay US last year an NTSC video tapes player/recorder
- Got on ebay US last year 2 NTSC video capture cards
for some reasons, my main capture cart 'ATI All in Wonders 9800' doesn't work for capture anymore    , so I've used a cheapest one, an HAUPPAUGE wintv pci...
I captured the episode in the best resolution possible for that cheap card : 720 x 480 in RGB 24 bit in AVI with the application WinTV2000 from hauppauge.
The result file for about 20 minutes of capture give me a ...35 GB file !
Then I used Virtual Dub to compress the AVI file into a DIVX file, with a desinterlace filter to remove the artifcats from interlaced video.
The result is a 124 MB file.
I choose that size file in order to host all the episode on Dragon's Lair Fans website, so I have to make a compromise between quality & size...

Maybe some suggestions in order to improve quality for the coming episodes ? 8)

Ummm, maybe I missed it but WHERE can you download/view that first episode?
And...Dexter...any way some of us can get that restored version to replace the original and use it with the Daphne software? If so, how?

Ummm, maybe I missed it but WHERE can you download/view that first episode?
Don't worry Stormyblade, you don't miss anything... all the episodes available yet are in the MEDIA - Videos page on the website homepage. Only two available for download yet, but ALL will be available here, I promise :)
On my tapes, the episodes are not in the correct order, so that's the reason why I don't put them in the right order
Have fun... Space Ace is also coming very soon
-
I am errrr "patiently waiting" for the next two cartoons you said would be posted this week  anyways love the site! Thanks for sharing!
