Title: Interest check: Posters
Post by: Sjaak on July 26, 2015, 03:54:33 PM
I'm thinking about printing a big stack of arcade posters (50x70), but can't choose between designs...which one is better.

Wow, both are exceptional great!!!  :spaceace:

the first is just plain awesome (I'm sure that André will agree), the second one has 'retro' all over it!

I would print both, because I would order two of both!  ;D ;D ;D ;D.  And the one with the cabs without the logo?

Both are artworks are well known. Part of supersample.de Pixels at an exhibition. Both artists are very pity when it comes to "repros" so you better keep this forum hidden or delete all pics.

Actually, I created the Galaga artwork from scratch using 3ds max. So there's no problem there...

heheh.....looks better than the original but.....still a copy of course.....its like Sidam trying to prevent copyright problems by changing the sounds and input handling of Asterock......no dice ....

BUT .......did the original artist actually have any rights to reproduce Namco IP ??.......

Checked his website a bit.....he has art that uses IP of Disney, Universal Pictures, Nintendo, Taito, Sega and Lucasfilm (oops, now Disney too) AND makes money on it......Sjaak gave these posters for free, I think this artist does great work but I'd like to see if he has any licenses from those companies he used IP of.....
