Does anyone have a decent scan of the control panel artwork for DL? I've only found a few cropped jpegs, and was hoping to find one that is either print ready or at least a decent full scan that I can clean up. I have access to a printer than can print me an overlay locally, I just need decent artwork. I searched in the forums and didn't have much luck. If I missed an obviously thread/link, my apologies.
I found a DL that had been converted to Captain America, and I'm in the process of returning her to her former glory!

Yep and that is a cropped overlay. It's missing nearly an inch in width (half inch on either side). I'm looking for one that is complete.

If you don´t find a better one then your only other choice is to go with quarterarcade.com´s repro CPO which isn´t perfect either.

Yeah I've seen it in person. The colors are washed out and the quality of the image is just not good. I've gotten other stuff from them that I was really happy with. The DL CPO they have is something I'll avoid if I can. I'm just surprised that for a game that is so popular that artwork like this is hard to find.

Hi - sorry for the lack of replies as I don't get much computer time the last little while.
Here is what I have:
Top most image scanned and merged - (600 dpi) - Photoshop format 444 megs in size - some minor "cleaning" done.
Top image scanned at 600 dpi in TIFF format - each file is around 80 megs in size 6 images) - needs to be stitched together.
Front image scanned at 600 dpi in TIFF format - each file is around 74 megs each (3 images). Needs to be stitched together, have not done so.
I can upload all the files someplace to share (if anyone has suggestions) - all I ask is for a copy returned of the art for printing (this will be my personnel copy and I will not give it out to anyone else. If you wish to share your work with others that is up to you (I have shared some stuff I have done in the past).
Any event let me know where to upload and we can go from there. ;)
ps: I know that 600 dpi may be a bit over kill, but I only had limited access to a panel that had fairly decent art so I scanned them fairly large as I may not get the opportunity to do so again. ;)

Here is what I have so far. Font replaced. Button and Joystick holes cleaned up. Lots of splotching on the original has been removed. I began color correction and fixed one color issue that has always bugged me about the CPO... See if you can spot it ;)
Still more color balancing and corrections to be done. What do you guys think?

Update on my progress. Nearly complete and the original, thanks to the scans, is at an impressive 600 dpi:

Still want to tweak the color on the top a bit to bring out the deeper colors, but otherwise it's complete.

...well I did have someone contact me via PM about wanting the scans too (1 of many).
The English used and how he said he could print me up a copy on the same material as the original made me think of mikonos right away (based on other posts and promises he made). I figured he probably did dl it it if he lurks here since I made the download link public.
Just expected others to follow up... :'(

maybe bruno can check out the IP-adresses from the two users. mikonos is a disgrace for our hobby and I would not be surprised if he is involved in this .

Thank you for sharing it back - I don't know what the hell is wrong with people when they "agree" to something, but can't be man (or big) enough to keep their end of the bargain/agreement. I know my scan wasn't exactly perfect and needed work which I was upfront about, but once some got their grubby hands on it, it was too bad so sad... :(
At least there are still some good people (mostly) left on this planet. ;D

Maybe I overread it but I wonder if that was an Ireland or US-DL, the artwork is different, at least on the CPO.

So I will do the task, as everybody know I have two Atari Space Ace machines and hopfully one of the 4 sidearts will be in good shape or I have to paste the scans together. The CPO will be tuff to scan though,it is angled...from what I remember.

Hi everyone, I realize this is an old thread but desperate calls for desperate measures :)
I am currently restoring an original Dragon's lair. I couldnt find any places that are still selling the reproduction control panel. Even quarter arcades no longer carries them.
I did some searches and found this thread online.
Would anyone still happen to have the raw scans that were originally shared?
I am looking to make a version without the holes where the button goes, it makes the installation easier that way.

Galloping ghost sells them without the holes. I purchased one, but I wasn't fully satisfied with the quality. I also have a better reproduction which I bought maybe 8-9 years ago, but without holes. I will sell them, if anyone needs them.

The version from Galloping Ghost has issues, if you look closely on the left and right edge, it looks like they used the commonly available image from ArcadeArtwork.org and placed the one available here underneath. You can see that the resolution and details don't match on the side, especially on the left. You can see the issue here very well:

So I actually ended up painting the holes with my Cintiq. Took me several hours but the result is great.
I am also able to print copies with polycarbonate laminate. Just PM me if you need it.

Is there any chance that you could share your file without holes? It would be very convenient and fast for me to have it printed and laminated locally. I could pay you a little for your work if needed. :)

At last! The pictures show pre cut holes, but it's not the case if I read this : "Note that we elected to NOT have the holes die cut with this piece as we've had a mixed response when surveying collectors about die cutting in this instance."

If the holes are pre cut or not, the fact they left the black holes where the buttons are going is a very bad design choice. It doesn't leave much room for possible adjustment when installing the CPO.
The one I shared have no holes at all.
