hi folks
lately I found a taito cocktail table .
Unfortunately the former owners took almost everyting that was in it .

So I had to save her, I could not have let her in the warehouse . Now i need your opinion.
As you can see they modified it in order to have an horizontal screen .

Question 1 is should I get a screen of 36cm and put it vertically or should I open the frame and put a bigger screen since the table frame was already modified ?
Since this weekend it is going to be sunny here I will start to clean it and brush the feet

I start briefly on the right they do need it .
Question 2 : since 98% of the stuff are missing should I wire a jamma harness or would it be a blasphemy ?
thanks folks for you opinion
bye

Wow, this is one of ther worst jobs I have ever seen >:(
Well, in this condition with so many parts to replace I think it would be OK to put Jamma-harness inside. Or think about a specific Taito game and make it a dedicated cocktail. With an adapter you could still have Jamma ;)

thanks for the advice .
I was highly thinking of wiring a jamma in it as it is the most common format but taito table are a myth and I did not wanted to make a blasphemy by wiring it an other way .
I will go on with a jamma harness .

I'll started to work a bit on the table this sunday .
First I will start with some esthetic part .

The feet of the table are terribly rusted . I tried a lot of thng to save the chrome even Grandmother's tricks but it was not enough . Rust if to important on it .

I'll decided to sand down the feet .
After almost two hours of work i went to this result

I got rid of all the chrome that were on it, since it was dead . To protect the steel from rust I waxed it after it was done.

Nice job !
the only way to save that chrome was to have it re-chromed anyway.
i think it looks ok, when its in the gameroom, nobody is going on his knees to see every detail, so i guess its more than fine like this.
the rust is gone, and it looks smooth now.
