There's a video on NicoNico (Nicovideo) called "XNA 4.0で作ってみた". From what i saw of this video showing the XNA creators club (Xbox 360 thing) content called cosmic raid HD, It's very simular to Galaxian3, especially its path. In fact, there are even galaxian3 enemies and battleships and a mothership (the one with the power core) and a cannon seed. Appaerently the path animation ends just as the screen starts to go into the cannon seed, and the enemy ships dont shoot and neither do the cannons, but they can be destroyed. But that enemy outpost and the battleship and power core can't. They just explode, except they're still there even while it explodes, they dont vanish. wierd

HigeNiko did pretty good with this game though and recreated the galaxian3 path in the process.
BTW (by the way), I found 4 galaxian3 videos on niconico and those are the attraction laserdisc videos this time.

This is no Joke. Those 4 links are definately to the galaxian3 attraction laserdisc videos (recorded with camera though instead of computer). so it must have been that one namco employee was indeed allowed to show the galaxian3 attraction laserdisc video at least once

This is a very interesting one! :shock:
It's almost the same path/enemies than Project Dragoon! It's like a custom made 'reboot' of the original Project Dragoon mission.
Too bad it's just a 'work in progress version', because it already looks very promising!
But I'm afraid we won't see any progress on this, because that video has been uploaded in 2010 :-\
According the translation, the author wanted to make the game in real time processing (and not the LD anymore). He tried to reproduce the original game.
We worked 5 days on this (modeling, programming the cut scenes other than the first one)...

apparently, the cosmic raid HD was made by HigeNiko with XNA 4.0 (XNA creators club content, aka Xbox LIVE Indie Games). i noticed the link while the game was loading. that link creators.xna.com leads us to the Microsoft Xbox Live Indie Games site, so it appears that XNA creators club content could somewhat be in the japanese website idk.
HigeNiko put much effort in that game. but too bad it wouldn't be LD anymore, nor would it have the same textures. oh well, at least it's simular. but what a shame we won't see any progress as the video was uploaded 2010. it appears to be that the uploader of the video and developer of cosmic raid HD only wanted to show us his work. :-\

(note: i dont know how to quote just the words copied from another user. so i just put the " on beginning and end)
I agree about the first cutscene. although It still has simular animation, the spaceship and the space station is different from the original (laserdisc) version. also on that cannon seed scene, the yellow-orange rope like energy chargers are missing, and in that scene where many rockets suddenly come (laserdisc), a few background things seem to be missing, and there aren't rockets there. there aren't any fast-moving tanks (the tanks that move fast and shoot bombs at the dragoon) either. and when the spaceship (dragoon in the original) is getting close to the cannon seed, you can see those 2 ground turret like. but they too can't be destroyed. in fact, they dont shoot either. none of them shoot, not a single ship shoots in the game (i believe it was just for easy testing, and they would probably shoot at the player in the next version. idk)

Looking at the spaceship and the space station, I believe the spaceship might have a few simularities to GeoSword from starblade. As for the space station, It looks simular to that UGSF space station in Galaxian3 The Rising of Gourb

Note: I happened to encounter this game while searching for GALAXIAN3 on NicoVideo to see if there were any more Attraction videos.
Remember the Cosmic Raid that looks similar to GALAXIAN3?
Well it's happening again! Another clone has Surfaced, and this time, we might as well get our hands ready! It's has similarities and is a combination of both GALAXIAN3 and STARBLADE, as well as new Enemies and Allies to help you (Even though it plays like STARBLADE). :shock:

And not just Cosmic Raid, but Utauneko, the latter we should expect release this winter, maybe early 2016.
UPDATE: Looks like we're getting Utauneko this year after all (See the post below).
UPDATE 2: Perhaps the full version would come out next year (2016).

A Shooting for xx- ver.0.99 (Final Check version) is being prepared for download. Final Check may mean some last minute fixes/changes to the game.
EDIT: It appears there may be a PublicPlaying version 2 coming. Also updated in the page are the release dates.

I noticed that different options in the game seem to unlock over either multiple plays or just making it really far, not sure which but it seems more the former. Got past the Cannon Seed/Red Eye type section and the red commander guy came out but I got hit by a stray laser on my last shield...
