Ladies and Gentleman, this is the official US Container #2 and #3 thread.
Why one thread for two containers, you might ask? Well, as there have been 100+ of our machines at Coinopwarehouse and given the fact that I will not work with Lloyd on containers in the future, I decided to think of both containers as one single delivery and have them ship right after each other (more or less).
This is much easier from a logistics point of view as I dont need to do all the micro managment like "this buyers games from different sources, go on this container and those go on that" etc. For you this results in a couple more weeks til all games are at my Berlin storage unit. I hope you are okay with that.
On a side note: I do work with another partner already, located in Hagerstown too. I will have my own storage unit over there from next month on. I will also pick up most of the games in the US myself (costs as much as working with someone local). This basically translates to more security, more carefull handling of items and just plain direct control of whats going on over there.

I assume mine is the Vs Hogan's Alley? - which is a Nintendo Red Tent dual system, on the second container?
I would also possibly be interested in further cabinets on container #3. Do you have any rough dates of when that will be shipping?

no offense taken at all, mate. :) pretty happy that the popeye is finally heading to my basement. it is a lovely cab. i am sure thomas has you on his list for the next popeye by now. i mentioned it once and he took care about the rest. so just wait a while and you will get a pm for sure.

Besides the things that happened with the stuff in #1, in the end it was a very successful story. There are so many cabs over there that you won't get here for that price!

just being curious, but what is aprox. the average price of a cab which is being bought this way (i mean, buy from someone in US, shipping it to in this case to coinopwarehouse, store it there till it's shipped to Berlin and than transport it home? What have you paid at the end for a cab?

Total price depends on the cab of course, but shipping from the States to Germany this way is very, very reasonable. I believe I paid about € 180 per cab all in, which were in the first container.
Shipping a single cab would cost a fortune, think + € 500, and it would also mean lots of administrative work to handle, and taking risks regarding custom duties and other extra expenses. Fortunately Love knows his way around and he is good at shipping worthless junk. ;D ;)

200 - 300 euro all-in for a cab from the US is very reasonable, that's not much higher than when you buy a working one on marktplaats :)

I heard people had individual cabs shipped over from the US and costs was around €700-€800 and I'm talking like 4 years ago.

Yeah, was the real price of shipping, excluding a €50 handling fee for me. I needed to rent storage in the US and Bremen and a truck and paid for shitloads of gas though. So, my blue eyed price was a bit low for container #1
The €275 per game on container #2, including my €50 handling fee, 3 months of free storage and shipped to Berlin are reasonably priced for now. I won't lose money here.

Super :spaceace: :spaceace: :spaceace: for what you do for the arcade community, europe has way to little different dedicated cabs (left?). And your service must offcourse be cost effective else this service won't survive long.
My small garage is full (with mostly non working cabs :'() so regretfully no cabs for me, other than maybe donor cabs/repair parts.
If i was a bachelor i would have crammed the house with cabs (still have :oops: but must remove them as fast as possible), although wouldn't want to trade with that life, family still is more important :)

Gents, I am home again. All games that were comin in on container 2 are ready for pick up.
Bad news is, that I still dont know when exactly container 3 is shipping. Well, let me explain a bit.
I had a final quarrel with Lloyd and decided that I dont want to ship container three with him anymore. Main reason for that is the way they handle our games and parts over there at Coinopwarehouse. Its just not up to the standards I and therefore you expect from a business we pay for the job. There where games shipping side to side without card board or anything between them for example. Another reason is the way he handled the missing parts situation from container 1. Lets say I am a bit pissed. So is he. Period.
Now the hard facts. The decision to ship Container 3 myself proved to be delaying the container even more, as I need to move the remaining games to my storage unit (this week) and also set up a new sender over there (hopefully this week).
I want to let you know that I am very sorry about this situation, about all the delays and stuff. This doesnt mean that there are any issues with your stuff, there rather will be less, as they are handled by trusted and carefull people from now on.
Regarding my silence the last couple of weeks [sic!], well I was really exhausted after the trip and the back and fourth with Lloyd and stuff. Also some family stuff was screaming for attention. Thats not good a set of excuses, I know, but its the facts nevertheless. Please believe me that I wasnt silent just for fun.

Well, few of us (like me) are waiting for the container #3 to be shipped before a unique road trip to bring back games for container #2 + #3 together.
I presume (and hope) all the games supposed to be shipped in the #2 are now safe in Germany, waiting for pick up...

Well, Coinopwarehouse was basically only loading the containers anyway. I was talking to the shipping company and did set everything up. Its the same shipping company now, HIS partner for years, and it took ages again to set up a new sender.
Aside of Coinopwarehouse not handling games properly, Lloyd himself is acting increasingly non professional and I am ... well, I am pissed by now. They are fucking up things all the time at Coinopwarehouse and he doesnt even admit it, not to speak of discussing solutions.
Ah anyways, nevermind.

I've been reading on UKVAC that Theminer49ers, who was previously an employee of CoinOpWarehouse, is due to be arrested wrt stealing parts, and this will have an impact on the container being possibly seized due to Police action?
Where does this leave us all?

I am Thomas the guy who is importing games from the US on containers. It is true that I am partnering with the ex-employ eeof Coinopwarehouse. And its true that Coinopwarehouse put charges against the guy for stealing "hundreds of items" from them.
I personally did talk to the guy a lot and am sure he di.dnt I cannot be 100% sure that the police is not keeping any or all of my/your games for evidence, rather 90% sure. He will be talking to the police tomorrow morning US time again. I will know more definite if there is any risk after that.
All in all, I am impressed on whats going on he,re on ukvac and on facebook. It is unbelievable and I hope for Lloyd that he is right, can prove it and will make me realize what monster I am friends with.
So stay tuned. All your games are safe right now. I can give more definite info tomorrow.

this is a pretty accurate description of the actual situation. right now its extremely unlikely that ANY of the stuff they shout all over the place is going to happen. christ.

That was great! Wow, lots of games, lots of Nintendos! :) The US and Japanese cabinets aren't that much different, it's mainly the wood they used. The US cabinets are garbage, I hate the particle board. The plywood Japanese cabinets are best! :)

Yes, it has the high score save kit (might have my initials "JON" on it, not sure my friends beat my scores all the time!) and it's one of the nicest all original Moon Patrol's I have ever seen! Whoever got it, got a NICE Moon Patrol!

Been thinking of selling/trading my moon patrol for a while now, i just don't enjoy the game play that much.
But when i see a picture like this, i'm a bit afraid i'm going to regret it... What a beautiful cab, the art is easily top 10 material imo!

Gents, something strange happened today. The shipping company did decide they cannot ship the container, because there is an investigation going on regarding the sender. Hmm. Police says there is no reason to not ship the stuff, said it to the shipping company and to the sender, but still...
I dont know what to say, I am speechless and I guess I shouldn't come up with any accusations online, which seems to be pretty much the standard procedure in the Hagerstown area lately.
Well, I will get some quotes from other shipping companies and we take it from there. Please understand that all this is not related to your games.

The informant also provided contact details of the officer working on the case. The shipping comany spoke to the police officer and did decide not to take the risc and cancel the shipment.

Seth, I do know the info from Chase directly. And from Dachser directly. And a bit from Lloyd directly. You know it from Ben and tout it all over the place as its the truth/whole picture.

Lloyd says that Chase did steal hundred of parts from him while working there and that he sold them on ebay. Please keep this accusation in mind when we get the first results in in a couple of weeks.

First of all: If an employee steals stuff: Bad thing, no question. But doing this over a period of time does not put Lloyd in a good light, too.
For example it was known since C1 that stuff was missing. We are not talking about a 100+ people company here. It seems to me that nobody really took care of what was in stock and what was not. Anyway... what I would NEVER EVER do is to go public with it. This is totally unprofessional and there is absolutely no way that I would do business with Lloyd in any way in the future. I understand that he is pissed but to let this happen over month or possibly years is clearly also his fault. Just my two cents though.
I am just sorry for Thomas and for the european guys here. It is hard enough for us to get cabs for a fair price. I hope this will not affect Thomas in any way and I really hope that we all will go on like we did before.

Lloyd buys and sells hundreds of machines a year. He buys and sells this equipment mostly "as-is", and that's why his prices are so low. His ex-employee took advantage of this fact to steal parts from him.

When I received my Journey-Cab, I found out that the original Board-set has been replaced with some crappy Two Tigers-PCBs. I asked Todd from TNT, he picked the game up from the private seller and stored it until it was picked up by COW. Todd has sent pictures so I could see what artwork was necessary to be replaced. He also sent a picture from the inside and you could see that the original Journey-PCBs were still there. I don't think he is stupid enough to take a picture and replace the PCBs AFTER that. So I blamed COW for replacing the PCBs. At first Lloyd denied and said that all the stuff was in a separate room, where only authorized people have access to. After some mail exchanges he admitted that it might have been an employee or A CUSTOMER! Hello?? A customer is authorized to have access to a "restricted area" and get from the cabs what he thinks (or better: knows) will sell good on Ebay? He even wanted to give me a free working set of Two Tigers-PCBs...which didn't happen, yet.
Honestly, I don't think that Lloyd is a really bad guy, but I assume some things over there went beyond his control and now he's trying to get out of trouble the best that he can.

Things aren't always what the look like. This Chase guy could be the thief, but there could also be an argument between people that´s leading towards this. I have no way to verify this.
I just think it´s sad for us, because the Thomas container business is a great opportunity for us to get US cabs over here for fair prices

COW has serial numbers of cabs that match pcbs in Chase's ebay auctions, videotape evidence, boxes of boards returned to the police, and Chase's confession of stealing. I was told: COW claimed to the police Chase stole X amount. He pleaded to the police admitting he stole, but claimed he stole a lesser Y amount. Now, if COW were lying why would they make up a convoluted story like that?
I realize you guys are worried about your container, but all signs point to Thomas' partner being a thief. Thomas was warned about Chase well in advance. The arrest warrant will be issued this week.

After it was clear that I will never get back the original PCB-set I bought a 2nd one for lots of Dollars. I had it sent to COW and asked Lloyd to put it to the stuff for container#2. He was happy that I found a new pcb-set and promised to take good care of it. After container#2 had arrived in Germany I asked people (Tyrem and Speleo) to grab the box with the PCBs when they pick up their cabs. Since neither of the two was there it wasn't picked up yet. Last week Thomas told me he took a closer look into the box that was supposed to hold my Journey-PCB-set. It wasn't there. It was something different. I don't know the exact details but the box with my 'new' PCBs was 'accidentally' found by Lloyd...it was still at COW!!! After promising to take special care of my PCBs I was very disappointed that it was simply forgotten in some dusty corner of COW >:( :-\

Now that there is a dedicated topic for all the members still involded in the container #2 & #3, I don't really see the need of keeping this one alive...
Now, what is really matter for members involded here is getting our games in a safe way. Putting Mr X or Y on trial is an other story...
