Title: Danish pinball and arcade!
Post by: Donkey on January 17, 2013, 01:51:33 AM
Just wanted to let you guys know about these places in Denmark (Copenhagen and Roskilde to be more precise). Who knows, maybe someday when you are visiting Muerto, and his gameroom for some unknown reason does not satisfy you, you know where to go :D

Chassis Arcade in Copenhagen - Really cool place! Check out the highscores on their site to see what games they have. Star Wars, Out Run, Badlands and Cosmic Monsters to name a few dedicated. Mostly arcade games, but a few pins as well. There's a upcoming Donkey Kong champ playing there, as well as the unofficially WR-holder in 1943. www.chassisarcade.dk / http://www.facebook.com/chassisarcade

Copenhagen Skatepark (http://copenhagenskatepark.dk/) has a generic arcade cabinet with a 60-1 (buuuh) and 4 pins: Theatre of magic, Lord of the rings, Corvette and Dr. Who.

Navnløs Bar (Nameless Bar) on Enghave Plads 6 in Copenhagen has a Pac Man cabinet, with a Ms Pac Man game inside (speed-up if I remember correct) and it's on freeplay. Down the road in another bar/cafe called Bang og Jensen, you'll find a Rolling Stones and Shrek pinball.

Sin City Arcade at Høkerboderne 18 in Copenhagen also has a generic cabinet with a 60-1 (buuuh again) and 4 pins: Funhouse, Tales of the arabian night, Champion Pub and World Cup Soccer. http://www.facebook.com/SinCityArcade

Pinball Park & Arcade (only open in weekends) in Roskilde - They open on the 26th of january! They will have a around 50 pinball and arcade machines (mostly pinball though). You pay 200DKR to come in, and you can play till you drop! Check out their group for info here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/132265866930136/ - check out some pictures from the place here: https://docs.google.com/folder/d/0B02KvwVba5-YMVR4NTFfU0I4cDQ/edit

Oh yeah, there was a local player (from Iceland, but living in Denmark) in Chassis Arcade who got a Donkey Kong killscreen live not too long ago. Check out pics and video here: http://chassisarcade.dk/chriss/dobbelt-killscreen-i-donkey-kong/ . And Kim upped his unofficial 1943 WR a couple of days ago as well. There's even startet a donation thing, trying to raise money for him to go to the US a beat a couple of records (1943, Gyrus and Gorf to name a few) Check here https://www.caremaker.dk/nc/fr/i/faa_kim_kanonarm_koebke_til_funspot/

"Ruben og Bobby"
Bjelkes alle 7
2200 København N

Grand opening tomorrow. At the shop you can get a haircut, buy old toys & videogames. But even more cool is the two rooms, one with 5 pinball machines (Robocop, Bride of pinbot, Earthshaker, Mousin around and Future Spa) and one with arcades (Simpsons, Tekken, Gauntlet, ROTJ, Rampage, Compugame with 4slot Neo geo, generic cocktailtable with Gunsmoke)
